We sell in Euro so you pay based on the exchange rate of the day. This is a fair deal for a buyer. You do not need to pay VAT compared to buyers who fly all the way to Milan and buy from retail shops which includes 21% VAT. But the biggest headaches await the buyers after receiving their products in Singapore: they now have to find a good installer and make sure what they purchased is properly installed! At Italian Homes, you buy at factory price, in Euro, converted at the day’s exchange rate, plus 10% for shipping, delivery and installation and 7% GST. We have showrooms or office located in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam (HCM) and China. We are partnered with more than 30 Italian companies specialized in manufacturing high-end, well-known furniture brands, known for their beauty and quality. They are big companies and OEM manufacturers for many well-known brands in Italy. Italian homes are paid a retainer by Italian companies every month to work with projects and developers. These manufacturers know selling direct from factory without mark up, gives them a huge competitive edge. It means their prices become as competitive as those of local manufacturers!! How can you be sure our products are made in Italy? Every item you order will come with a pro forma invoice and have your name in it. You can email to the manufacturer too. We are open. With our new website you can down load the catalogue and price list, and select what you want. We have thousands of items to select from. And you can be sure that all items are made in Italy as you can link to the manufacturer’s website. Quality is something that Italian manufacturers do not compromise on. People ask if they can buy other brands
Yes we have partner with other Italian buying houses too. Just tell us what you want and we are able to source for you. We believe that will save you a lot of money too! For brands that are not carried by us, we charge a 5% commission plus 10% for shipping, delivery and installation and 7% GST. Note: timing is subject to how fast we can fill up a 40ft container for other brands. Do we carry stock? We have over a few thousand items, and with buyers’ different design and colour preferences, it is not feasible to carry inventory. We do not believe in a big warehouse that will only increase cost.
