Supermama Store

Supermama Store Supermama is a Singapore design and lifestyle goods brand. Founded in 2010, we seek to provide museum-like respite to the busyness of urban life.

What started off as a couple's decision to steal time away from work for their young children has evolved into Singapore's go-to source for locally designed homeware and souvenirs. The concept of giving is central in Supermama. We believe that good stories, good design and good crafts make good gifts. From our classic “Made in Arita Japan” blue white porcelain, to contemporary tableware, every pie

ce Supermama produces is made by some of the finest craftsmen in Asia, whilst exhibiting a distinctly Singaporean design sensibility. In 2013, Supermama’s signature cobalt blue and white porcelain collection titled “Singapore Icons” was awarded the President’s Design Award - the foremost design accolade in Singapore.

This year at Boutiques, we revisited the experiences gathered across past editions to imagine a new way of engaging our visitors and a refreshed way of experiencing Boutiques.

With four Singapore designers in this edition, each carrying unique philosophies and techniques, the exhibition design is articulated as a quiet flow of spatial pockets. These pockets allow objects to breathe, settle and emerge over time, while offering visitors a closer encounter with each designer’s stories, inspirations and philosophies within their dedicated zones.

Here, visitors are invited to step close to study the subtle gestures of material, and to step back again in quiet awe at the form and presence each object holds.

The visual language echoes the suspended fabrics of EMERGE @ FIND presented during Singapore Design Week back in September, a reminder to look between folds and lines, and to see how individual voices can converge into a shared dialogue through design.

It’s the first day of and thank you to everyone who has come down to show a little love and support for [States of Matter]!

Across different years of EMERGE @ FIND at Singapore Design Week, four Singapore designers: Bewilder, Melvin Ong, Nathan Home and Sophia Chin have each explored materiality in their own ways. They now return with an extended body of works shaped by their distinct material inquiries.

This showcase is an ongoing dialogue with material. Come touch and feel these objects, each carries its own rhythm; take a closer look at how it bends, fuses, grows and reacts, revealing a sensibility that balances structure with tactility, allowing these explorations to find their place within everyday living.

[States of Matter] is supported by and curated by at Boutiques: The Gifting Edition 2025. Find us at Room 3A, open tomorrow till 9pm and Sunday till 6pm!

Opening tomorrow at Boutiques, Supermama is proud to present States of Matter, a retail showcase that explores how material behaviour shapes the language of contemporary design.

Within this field, four alumni of EMERGE @ FIND at
Singapore Design Week - Bewilder, Melvin Ong, Nathan Home and Sophia Chin, extend this dialogue through their distinct material inquiries.

Their works move fluidly between refinement and rawness, revealing how design may not only form matter but also learn from it. The exhibition design, composed of steel, aluminium, felt and textile, mirrors this sensibility, balancing structure with tactility.

States of Matter proposes that design today resides in this balance, where materials shape meaning and design becomes a quiet reflection of transformation through time.

One of the many memorable quotes we’ve learnt from EMERGE was from who shared about the Filipino idea of bayanihan, the beautiful spirit of community where people come together, a reminder that no one stands alone and that any weight can be shared.

Inclusive design isn’t just about responding to needs. It’s about creating a language of dignity, understanding and belonging. In that same spirit, our upcoming new space at Enabling Village is a space where we can all discover, learn and find meaning in modest works that speak quietly but deeply. Works that push us to do better, and to remind us to be more thoughtful in how we create and connect.

Design Social features more than 20 works across three key themes - Inclusivity in the art sector, design for inclusivity and social inclusivity in Design. Runs daily from 12pm to 6pm here at i’mable Collective Space, 20 Lengkok Bahru, Vista Block #02-01, Singapore 159053.

Design Social, an extension of EMERGE 2025, highlights process-driven projects from across Asia that are advancing inclusivity and social impact. The curation demonstrates how design can engage people of all abilities while building systems that are both inclusive and meaningful.

Alongside works from independent studios, the showcase also features projects developed in collaboration with social service agencies, emphasising the breadth of practices shaping this field.

Beyond the individual works, Design Social shines a light on the people and entities leading this movement, showing how diverse efforts are converging into an exciting and promising chapter for inclusive design.

The platform is curated and presented by weareSuper, the inclusive design arm of Supermama.
