year 7 creating installations in the woods for Summer Well Festival 🪐

Beyond the main installation spaces, we left a trail of hidden art pieces and old favorites tucked away along the forest paths. We brought some of these sculptures back from previous years, keeping them stored so they can return to the woods and completely shift as soon as the sun goes down. using glowing lines, layered shapes, and transparency to turn quiet patches of trees into strange little worlds you can walk right into.

The part you see is the installation.

The other 99%? That’s everything that happens before it.

For this one, Reza was in Berlin, we were in Bangkok, and somehow it all came together in Bucharest, Romania.

There were ideas, sketches, drawings, models, iterations, material tests, budgets, technical headaches, fabrication, lighting, transport, logistics and a LOT of back and forth.

Back and forth between us on the ideas. Back and forth on drawings. Things getting tested, tweaked, scaled up, simplified and sometimes completely rethought.

And then, suddenly, it’s standing in a field.

It really does take a village to make these things happen.

A big thank you to everyone who was part of it, on site and behind the scenes.

This is just a very small glimpse of what goes into making the work.

We’re excited to present
The Eye of the Sun: The Celestial Gate

Ascend to a higher consciousness! This piece plays with perspective, framing your entry onto the grounds as a bold portal. It serves as a stairway to the Sun, watched over by the Guardians of the cosmos as you walk underneath it into the forest clearing.

Come through, connect to the divine, and keep an eye out for some of our past installations popping up around the festival site

Our latest collaboration transforms space into a canvas, folding bold graphic illustration over an architectural form layered with iridescent finishes, mirrors, and neon.

Facing the Main Stage, this split-level setup functions as a stepped viewing platform for the gigs and a low-slung lounge to rest.

Set against the beautiful Buftea Stirbey forest canopy, its technicolor eye watches over the clearing before transforming at night through immersive lighting shifts.

This is just the first look at our main installation, with more to reveal across the grounds. More to come.

Let your senses guide you. They’ll tell you everything you need to know.

From the street, the glowing façade creates a moment of curiosity. A familiar shape transformed through light, colour and atmosphere.

Step inside, and the journey continues through fog, light and colour. A sensory passage designed to leave the outside world behind and take you somewhere else.

For Gaggan Bangkok, we created an entrance experience where the story begins before the first bite.

A little peek at how our Samsung Edutech booth came together.

We sketched, tried a few funny looking trees, reshaped the ideas and slowly landed on the canopy forms you see here… warm, bright and a touch future leaning.

We liked the idea that tech in learning spaces does not have to feel cold. It can feel soft and welcoming, even in the middle of a very grey expo hall.

It was a fun one to bring from sketchbook to real life.

It’s been a blast being back ! This year, we unveiled an immersive installation integrating audiovisual elements by Reza Hasni and Sam Barker. ‘Dreaming in Nature’ evokes a surreal nature sanctuary in technicolour with recurring motifs incorporating an abundance of flora and fauna to construct a whimsical summer dream in Buftea. We have also repurposed some of our past works and presented them in different ways, from sun salutations in the forest to figures seated in quiet contemplation. Here’s what went down!
