The FrameIT Story
The framing industry is pretty traditional. Transactions occur inside a brick and mortar retail space where you select from a range of frame styles, pay a deposit, and then come back to collect your framed item 2-3 weeks later. The pricing can be high in order to cover the overheads of retail space, sales staff and so forth.
We believe this model is still very necessary when it comes to fine art or items that require a certain level of skill and experience to frame and mount professionally (such as a Hermes scarf for example), but its probably not the most cost effective and convenient option for items such as posters, prints, and photographs.
As a result, we developed FrameIT, which has been designed with simplicity in mind. You can can measure your item and then input the height and width into our visual builder [down to the exact millimeter].
Once we have those two measurements you can continue to apply some basic customisations, such as frame style and whether or not you want a mat border. We provide clear pricing and online checkout. Once we receive the order its handcrafted and shipped to you within 3-5 business days.
