A Dose Of Something Good

A Dose Of Something Good High fragrance dosages up to 15% allow you to enjoy our candles lit or unlit. So I decided to create one myself. I named this first candle ‘Rose Your Bottega’.

When my wife asked for a scented candle a few years ago, I wanted the fragrance to be something that meant something to both of us. I inhaled candles from around the world, but none seemed to capture the right feeling or memory that was important to either of us. After many years of marriage, there was a mountain of stories and anecdotes that could be used for inspiration. So I thought about the t

ime, soon after our marriage, when we lived in London. We had a little studio space on Hatton Garden, off Clerkenwell Road, that we called our ‘little bottega’. On the day we moved in, we bought a huge bunch of Tea Roses and a basket of Lychees from China Town. Our little bottega was gently wrapped with an aura of creativity and warmth. It’s the little stories behind each scent that make them special. This is the dose of something good. But it’s also about how the products are made. The quantity and quality of raw materials used. A Dose of Something Good has launched with a range of hand-poured scented candles made using the finest quality wax blends, hand-cast porcelain containers, natural fibre wicks and a curated collection of scents using a blend of the finest fragrance materials, natural extracts and essential oils. All candles are hand-poured in limited quantities in Singapore. By me. Robert Upton
