Design is never just about how something looks — it’s the layers, textures and little stories that bring a space to life. Beauty in the details
Every inch of The Bohemian Bali whispers intention. Designed by architect Josefina Gruenwald with interiors by Fransisca Simon &
Charcoal-drenched walls create a moody canvas for burnt orange, aged brass and textured linens. Statement staircases with textured, timber treads, cathedral-high ceilings and industrial pendants create a wonderful quiet drama.
Art is everywhere — from handpainted murals to pieces by local artists like Quint and YOKII. Ceramics by and delicate cups by add small rituals of beauty to daily moments.
Even the oversized pots of greenery feel like sculpture.
This is brutalism softened by soul.
A space designed for living, slowing down, for appreciating all the details & watching the light play throughout the day.

Introducing Atelier V&A - A new chapter begins… .vanda is a collaboration born from a shared vision to create beauty and inspire. Co-founded with my fabulous business partner Venetia .interiors… our journey began with a mutual desire to bring sculptural, one-of-a-kind designs to life—pieces that evoke emotion, elevate spaces and tell a unique story.

VandA is a fusion of form, function and artistry—where every piece is designed to make a statement. Our first delivery arrived and it’s starting to feel very real. From bespoke furniture to sculptural florals, we are shaping a collection that embodies our philosophy of intentional design.

We are beyond excited 🤗 also to announce that our showroom will soon be available for your enjoyment pleasure. We want it to be the most inspirational, magical space—a place where creativity flows and your vision can take shape. Whether you’re a designer, brand or simply in need of an immersive space, we’ve crafting a venue that will leave a lasting impression.
And in true fashion, I have designed us some vests to keep us on brand (as branding is part of my DNA 🤩).

Airbnb Ready: Urban Escape in Paddington, Sydney

lovewhatido the polish and amenities guests love.
From before (minimal and familiar) to after (a Paddington haven of welcoming comfort), every detail was curated with purpose:
🏡 Thoughtful touches to make guests feel at home.
🌿 Amenities that elevate the experience.
🎨 Design choices that bring the wow factor and make it stand out on Airbnb.

It’s been such a joy working on this project and the glowing Airbnb reviews prove that great design truly leaves a lasting impression.
We are now even working on one of their family’s homes as they too loved it so much when they saw it.

Laundry Goals: From Cluttered to Chic ✨🧺
Transforming the mundane into the magnificent! This St Ives laundry makeover is proof that even the most hardworking spaces can be beautiful and functional.

What We Did:
✅ Custom cabinetry for smarter storage
✅ Increased bench space for effortless folding
✅ Thoughtful layout for optimal utility flow

Now, this once-cluttered corner is a streamlined sanctuary that makes daily chores a delight. Because why shouldn’t your laundry room bring you joy?

Brisbane Commercial Project | A Commercial Space That Tells a Story

It’s always an honour to transform a space, but this project was something truly special.

For Multinail’s head office in Brisbane, we set out to create more than just a workplace — we designed a sanctuary that reflects their heritage, values and progressive spirit. From capturing the team in action during an on-site shoot to curating personal touches and bespoke furniture, every detail was thoughtfully considered to bring their story to life.

The result... a warm, inviting space where the team feels connected, proud and inspired every day.

Curtains can completely transform the mood of a space — framing light, softening acoustics, and adding layers of texture that make a room feel considered and complete.

For this bedroom, the client sent me a scene from a film — a totally different home, in a completely different country — but the feeling was unmistakable. That’s where we began... translating the mood, not just the look.

Today, the dark, textural curtains were installed alongside the custom bed we designed — bringing that vision to life. There’s still styling to come, but already the atmosphere has shifted — moody, grounding, and inviting — exactly what he imagined.

Managing projects remotely from Singapore isn’t always easy, but I couldn’t do it without my incredible team on the ground. Waking up to this message from my client made my day:

“Thank you Aisha, for helping to create my bedroom. It looks and feels perfect.”
