So... what I have been doing while I've been doing nothing?

Apparently, quite a lot.
In between my bigger projects, I've been working on a few small handmade pieces - this time as gifts. 🎁

🍵 A set of 6 button-shaped coasters made from plum wood, with a handmade wooden stand.

🦙 An ash wood alpaca brooch - because apparently every sweater needs an alpaca. 😅 (or a sheep 🐑) [to the whole society]🧶🪢

🪵 A rotating oak photo frame - handmade from start to finish.

Every piece was made completely by hand, from a piece of wood to the finished gift. 🤎
In times of CNC machines and AI, here is a real craftsmanship.

From forgotten to one of a kind.

What started as an old, tired cabinet became something completely different.
And this is the final result.

From an old TV... to a cozy little spot for a cat. 🐈✨️

The inside was painted, a new base and back panel were fitted, and I added a decorative finish to the back wall.

A few legs later - and this forgotten TV had a whole new purpose.

Who needs a TV when you can have a cat bed? 🐱

The final details are in - new hardware and assembling everything together. 🪛

After all this little cabinet has been through, it's finally ready for its new life.

What do you do when you find an old TV?📺

I decided to give it a completely different purpose.

First everything had to come out - old components, unnecessary brackets and metal parts. Then came a good clean-up 🪣🧼

What do you think it's going to become? 👀

Back after a little break!👋

It's been a while, but definitely wasn't sitting still.
Alongside this cabinet, a few new projects(including some workshop upgrades) kept me busy behind the scenes.

And this cabinet is almost done! Just a few final details.

Sometimes restoration means knowing when not to reuse a piece.

As I removed the old black paint from these legs, I discovered they had been heavily damaged by woodworms. Although they won't become part of this cabinet, I couldn't bring myself to throw them away.

Instead, I'll treat them, fill the damaged areas and preserve them until they're ready for a future project.

Not every original element can stay, but every piece deserves a chance to be saved.
