🍯 A little honey, a lot of heart. ❤️

I’m sharing this because Schmidtgall Honey Bees is the honey I exclusively use in my sourdough baking, and I’ve always been proud to support a local beekeeper.

This Tuesday, you can support Carolyn while also getting some really good local honey. $5 from every pound sold will go directly to Carolyn as she rebuilds after an unimaginable loss.

And honestly… make a night of it! ❤️

🍯 Pick up some of Carolyn’s Honey
🥂 Then head over to Blaqmead for a drink and enjoy a little local date night!

Come support local businesses, local farmers, and—most importantly—a local family who could use a little extra love right now.

I’d love to see these 200 pounds of honey completely sold out. Let’s help make that happen! 🍯❤️

For those who don’t know, I have a small beekeeping business that I started a few years ago.

This spring and early summer, I had several of my beehives on Lower Dry Creek at Carolyn Thomas’s property. Fortunately, I moved those hives just a couple of weeks before the fire that destroyed everything Carolyn owned.

Yesterday, I extracted the honey from those hives.

I now have almost 200 pounds of honey that was made on Carolyn’s property, and if you know me, you know I can’t in good conscience sell that honey without giving something back to Carolyn.

So here’s the deal:

🍯 Carolyn’s Honey — $15/lb
❤️ $5 from every pound sold will be donated directly to Carolyn.

I’ll be selling this honey at the Athena Tuesday Market. These jars will have a unique label made specifically for this run of honey—a label I hope and pray we never have to use again.

I would absolutely love to see us sell all 200 pounds before the market season ends in just three weeks.

That would mean $1,000 going directly to Carolyn.

If you can’t make it to the market, please share this post. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors—anyone who loves good local honey—to come buy a jar.

Come buy Carolyn’s Honey this Tuesday. 🍯❤️

Let’s turn something that came from a devastating loss into something good

💗 A Little Bittersweet News from Mama Ryder’s Sourdough Creations 💗

I have some bittersweet news to share. I have decided that I will not be finishing out the market season in Pendleton.

This decision does not come lightly. I absolutely love my Pendleton customers and am so incredibly grateful for every person who has stopped by my booth, placed an order, shared a post, or simply supported my little bakery over the years. You have helped Mama Ryder’s Sourdough Creations grow, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you. 🥹❤️

But sometimes life brings changes, and something has to give. With accepting the Head Coaching position for the Pendleton Girls Soccer Program, along with some other changes happening in our family and life, I have realized that I simply can’t give the Pendleton market the time and energy it deserves while also giving my family, coaching, and everything else the attention they need.

I will be finishing out the month at the Athena Farmers Market on Tuesdays, so if you need to get your Mama Ryder’s fix, that will be the place to find me! 🥖💗

Thank you, Pendleton, for an amazing market season and for supporting this little home bakery. I am so thankful for every single one of you and for the community you have given me. This decision was a difficult one, but I know it is the right one for this season of life.

With so much gratitude,
Mama Ryder’s Sourdough Creations 💗🥖⚽️

Come grab some of your Mama Ryder favorite along with Cowboy Nachos! All proceeds this week go to supporting Pendleton Thrill of Hope! Plus the nachos are being whipped up by Nikki who owns Almost Home Bistro LLC so you know they are AMAZING!!!

Hello, Tuesday Market fans! 🌽🍅

We’ll be back at it tomorrow from 4:00–7:00 PM!

We’re excited to welcome Thrill of Hope back again this week as our food vendor. They will be serving Cowboy Nachos, and as always, meals will be available by donation.

Because of the smoky conditions, we’ll also have the option of setting up some of our vendors inside the library this week. We want everyone to be comfortable while still being able to enjoy the Tuesday Market!

We can’t wait to see you there! 💚

🌫️ Market Update 🌫️

Due to the forecasted air quality and a very busy week for my family, I’ve decided to take this Friday off from the Pendleton Farmers Market. As much as I love seeing everyone each month, I also need to put my family first and be intentional about protecting myself from burnout. Am sorry to miss you all this month 😞

If you were planning to stop by for fresh sourdough bread or any of your other Mama Ryder’s favorites, please send me a message! I can arrange delivery Friday through Sunday, depending on when you contact me, as most orders require 48 hours’ notice to prepare.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support of my small business. I truly appreciate each and every one of you, and I look forward to seeing you back at the market soon! ❤️🍞
