Plot twist: I left the classroom… but I never stopped being a teacher. 👩🏼🏫➡️🏡
After 12 years teaching middle & high school math, I made a pretty big career change.
The teacher burnout was real. I needed more flexibility for my family, but I also knew I wasn’t ready to stop serving people.
So I became a mortgage loan officer. 🤍
And honestly? I’ve realized I didn’t leave teaching behind. I just found a new classroom.
I still explain things.
I still answer approximately 847 questions. 😂
I still love that “OH, NOW I GET IT” moment.
Except now, instead of teaching algebra, I’m helping people understand their mortgage.
And that matters to me because when I bought my own homes, I often felt like I was just being pushed through the process. I didn’t always understand what I was paying for or what my actual payment would look like.
I want my clients to have a completely different experience.
I want you to know your numbers.
I want you to understand your options.
I want you to feel prepared, not surprised.
And I want you to know that I’m genuinely rooting for you.
Because to me, a mortgage isn’t just a loan.
It’s your family. Your next chapter. Your HOME. 🏡
So whether you’ve been following me for a while or you’re new here…
Hi. I’m Jairia. 👋🏼
Teacher turned loan officer, mom of 5, professional over-explainer, and forever a people person.
I’m really glad you’re here. 🤍
