INTRODUCING THE FLORAL CAFE
I'm sometimes disappointed and uninspired by how commercial, digital, and technical a lot of things and experiences have become, especially when it comes to food and dining. What can be simple, accessible, delicious and unpretentious is often blown up for high volume and profit – The cafeteria versus the café.
The high capacity spaces lack intimacy, nuance, or a sense of uniqueness. This may not be as applicable for you if you live in diverse cosmopolitans or outside of the United States. I’m always so excited when I discover little gems that are surprisingly intimate with a humble yet artistic atmosphere. Inevitably an incredible community is drawn to the space.
If you know me, you know I love places like this. It’s even more special when it truly feels like someone’s home or is a home. All this being said, I wanted to try something out and share it with those of you who live locally in Albuquerque or in the surrounding area.
I’m interested in creating a place to share and create an immersive experience not commonly possible. One where you’re welcomed into my home. You can slow down, chill, connect, and create.
I want to share that down home, honest, no fuss, yet very real and beautiful approach to slow living. For now I’m calling it the Floral Café.
Come for the delicious food, drink, and most importantly the flowers.
We’ll cover basic mechanics and botanical design, harvest what’s growing in the garden, and create your own floral bouquet, all while having a few lovely hours together. I’ll take the principles and methods of Intuitive Arrangements and bring them to life, in real time.
I’ve had the pleasure to go to a few intimate events here in the states as well as abroad. It’s special. Necessary even. Now more than ever.
I foresee the café being seasonally inspired, spring – autumn, dependent upon what is growing in the garden.
Albuquerque based. Space is limited. Tickets available!
