Labor Day isn’t even here yet but it’s Christmas time in a crafters world and this craft room is a whole mess. My OCD tendencies are taking a back seat today. I’ll get my life back together later.

I brought this cup of coffee into the craft room around 8:30 this morning.

It’s now 2:30 in the afternoon and all I’ve accomplished was a lot of what doesn’t work, mistakes, and do overs. I didn’t produce one single profitable item.
AND I still didn’t drink my coffee.
I did manage to waste some acrylic paint, SVG paper, wood sign blanks, and a few laminating pouches.

But I’ll take failures as lessons learned and I’ll be right back in here tomorrow giving it another shot.

Let me tell y’all about one of the coolest blessings that has recently come my way. I had a sweet lady from a completely different state contact me through an Etsy message with a special request.

She lost her sweet daddy at the beginning of the year and then lost her sweet mama a month or so ago. She had swatches of fabric from her daddy’s suit and from her mamas dress. Her request was if I could incorporate this fabric into three separate bookmarks. One for her sister, one for her daughter, and one for herself.
…say less, sister, I got you.

Included in the package was a sweet little note of thanks along with another small request. The old hymn “It Is Well” was a favorite song of her parents and was played at both of their funerals. She asked if I could add that with the lettered beads.

Tomorrow I will drop her bookmarks in the mail to her along with her left over fabric.

I know she is appreciative of my willingness to take her request because she has expressed it many times. But, little does she know how blessed my heart feels that she, a stranger, would trust me with something so dear to her and her family. She said she prayed for God to send her to the right person to do this for her and I am so grateful that he sent her to me.

God is good ALL the time! 🫶🏻

My HVAC decided it couldn’t live under these conditions any longer and gave out sometime Monday evening.
No worries though cause the heat and air guys are here now installing a new one 🥳.

It’s a bit too warm in the back of the house to work so I moved assembly to the dining room. These bookmarks don’t make themselves and as long as people keep buying them up and ordering more, I’ll keep making them.

I’m not gonna complain (much🤪) about the temporary inconvenience of the rising temp. I’m way too blessed and there are far worse problems to have.
