DAY FOUR: the Louvre. I have not been to the Lourve since I was 20 years old and it hits different - mostly because my oldest looked like a renaissance cherub/baby and every single painting I laughed because it was little Andrew and a very tired breastfeeding mom. The foreshadowing I didn’t see coming 🤣

We wandered Paris checking out pop-ups, food markets and ended the evening under the glittering Eiffel Tower.

It was a magical trip, awe inspiring and I had a lovely traveling partner who I am lucky to work with and also call a friend ❤️ I am even luckier to have a supportive husband holding down the fort for me while I get to take an adventure of whimsy AND patient clients while I get re-inspired and ready to tackle 2026.

DAY THREE: French Markets and Masquerade Ball 🎭
We metroed outside Paris to explore the renowned antique markets and saw so much cool stuff!!! I bought the feather art, some trays, candlesticks, a decorative pill box and a zodiac compass- and Danielle got a really cool bust and met the artist who made it!
After we got back to our hotel, we crashed and then it was tim to get ready for the end of Deco Off event- the masquerade ball. We went, had a glass of champagne, met a cool new designer friend and then hung out at a local spot eating fries 🤣 an incredible day of exploring!

DAY TWO:
Started at Deco Off and wandered through so many glorious showrooms and displays. The overwhelming beauty everywhere is Paris is inspiring in and of itself ❤️ the quaint shops, flowers everywhere and the architecture. The pace is slower, and vibe so relaxed.

Last picture: Christ’s Crown of Thorns. We wandered into Notre Dame at 530PM and it was pure kismet that it’s only on display Friday’s from 3-6. Very beautiful church and the magnitude of size and scale was magnificent.

Day 1 Paris.
We had a late flight in which neither of us slept, arriving in Paris at 7am. We traveled from the 6th Arron. To Montmarte and along the way checked in for Deco Off, passed the Louvre (we will go Sunday), and enjoyed the winding cobblestone paths, fabulous shoppes and all the Parisian pups! We learned the metro system, lit a candle for my dad at a tiny chapel, and I crashed so early, Danielle had to eat dinner without me!

This project is locked and loaded. I’ve been receiving plumbing and electrical for the past two months for a massive kitchen and double bath renovation. My husband is gonna be so happy when he comes home and our garage floor is visible 😆

Just know interior design is not all fun and fluff! I typically send all furniture to a professional receiver, but when it comes to plumbing products and electrical, I receive it personally so that I can inspect it and bring it to the site as needed. Also pictured: my awesome contractor who loaded everything in his truck so I didn’t have to!

Happy NEW YEARS EVE! 2025 was a big year for me with SweetSpace. I travelled to Vegas in February for a convention; my team and I installed a major philanthropy project in August, we had 18 clients including an out of state (NON-DMV), I opened a physical studio(!), and we are excited to announce Danielle and I will be going to Paris in January to attend Deco Off Paris! I couldn’t have done this without my supportive team, fabulous clients, vendors, trades, and of course my very supportive husband and family ❤️

We are so excited to introduce you to this fabulous piece of art that found its home with our clients. “Floating World Ichi” is constructed of pages from a Japanese woodblock prints book done in a circlurlar form to represent freedom and liberation.

Our clients have a strong tie to Japanese heritage and wanted to incorporate that into their home aesthetic.
