MISSION ACCOMPLISHED (almost)! Whew 😅

How did you spend your Easter weekend? Over here, I spent two full days in the garage finishing up this unit for upcoming craft fairs. Definitely a labor of love!

And thank goodness for a heated vest… because that garage is not heated 🥶

Oh—and squeezed in a quick hour replacing our sump pump too (thankfully we caught it early, so minimal water damage 🙌).

All that’s left is painting the braces black (the shelves will stay natural wood), and she’ll be ready to go.

Can’t wait to see you all in a few weeks!

Mark your calendars! I’ll be in Whittemore on Saturday, April 25th for their Market to Market event.

I’m planning to launch my summer line there, and I’ll also have all your favorite spring goodies on hand (plus a few extras I think you’ll love). ☀️

Today was spent working on shelving for the event—and future ones too. These pieces are designed to come apart easily for transport and storage, which I’m pretty excited about.

It was definitely a labor of love. I had everything mapped out in Google SketchUp, but it wasn’t feeling as sturdy as I wanted. So I pivoted, added the X backing (and used a little math along the way 😅), and finally got one finished.

The good news? Tomorrow should go a lot smoother now that I’ve figured it out

Let’s talk about how a collection comes to life.

It usually starts months in advance with a little daydreaming about what comes to mind when I think of a particular season. Most of the time it’s images — little moments or scenes — and from there I work to curate scents and names that reflect those pictures in my mind. And of course, they usually have a little Midwest vibe woven in too. 🙂

So enjoy the inspiration behind this spring collection. Hopefully when you smell these scents, those same images come to mind for you. And if not, maybe it sparks your own little picture instead.

She got a little labeling refresh this year, but you all loved her so much last spring that we had to bring her back. And honestly… I’m not surprised she’s a favorite.

With notes of mandarin, saffron, and musk, Arizona Sky is bright, warm, and just a little dreamy — kind of like watching the sunset over the desert.
