I am so thrilled that I was able to finish this project on time!
I came to find out about the challenge about a week ago and rolled up my sleeves immediately!
This table had been waiting to be transformed for about two years 😜
Who knew it was going to be transformed into this fabulous look!
Started with on top using resin.
Then I primed, twice to be exact due to bleeding! Used milk paint colors in halcyon blue and snow white along with to crate texture from
And how about that gorgeous drawer k**b thanks to ! It was the perfect addition.
Lined the drawer with that was left over from another project.
Staged with all these props because it just reminds me of ocean!
It would look great in a vacation house and perfect for small spaces! 👌

Last night, I primed this table. But guess what, it is a bleeder! 🙄 which means I need to reprime with an oil based primer so that my hard work doesn't go waste.
But today is all about epoxyung the top! Hopefully I can make a video if I can bare the heat!

How can I not participate since I love resin poured furniture!

This little side table got cleaned, sanded and washed down with soap and water! Ready to be primed and painted. Plan is to go for a calming look with shades of blue.
QUESTION is, do I pour the resin only on the top OR the drawer???

Don't underestimate the power of updated handles/k**bs.
They are the jewels of furniture! 💎
If you would like to keep the original, then just clean them well and apply a gilding wax in color of your choice! Or another way would to spray paint them.

Story of Nuvelties

Welcome to my story, a bit long but all coming from the deepest point of my heart!

I have been repurposing and/or recycling things around the house ever since I was a small kid. The main thing I can remember from my childhood is how I felt complete while I was drawing, coloring or painting. After starting a family, I had to put aside my hobby for quite some time, until we moved in to our home in Texas. Texas size houses gave me the opportunity to store extra furniture and work on them.

It makes me sad every time when I see a piece of furniture sitting on a curbside, waiting to be picked up as bulk trash. At some point, I started feeling as if I had to respond to their call for help to be rescued and look pretty again and eventually continue to live where they would be loved. So, I started with a book shelf refinishing it for my kids room, and I couldn't stop after that.

This is a whole new world and experience for me, in which I learn something new every day and enjoy a lot. The satisfaction I get as I see the look in the eyes of my customers when they meet the finished product for the first time is beyond words to describe. However, I feel the bittersweet happiness at every sale, after spending hours together and knowing each and every detail on that piece. I truly hope the new owner also loves it the way I do, embracing all the beauty and the imperfections at the same time. Just like we accept all the loved ones in our lives, along with all their imperfections.
