I’m usually a black-and-white girl, so painting an entire guest bedroom burgundy felt a little risky. But this color is IT. Can't wait to show you the entire space. I'm going for warm, elevated and more like a boutique hotel than the room where all the leftover furniture landed.

If you’ve been afraid to try a dark paint color, this is your sign. Would you go bold or stay neutral?

October has two completely different personalities. 🍂🎃 One says warm, cozy fall entryway. The other says bring on the spooky season. I’m making the case for both, but I need to know: are you Team Fall or Team Halloween?

Owning a beach house and running an Airbnb are two different things. We’re doing both, and sometimes that means trading a beach day for a maintenance day. 😂 We could hire out every task, but those costs add up and cut into our profit. So when we’re here, we tackle what we can ourselves: pulling weeds, refreshing pine straw, touching up paint and cleaning the sofa. It’s our family’s beach home, too, and we want it to feel just as welcoming for our guests as it does for us.

Thankfully, this trip’s list was mostly routine upkeep—we had minimal cleanup after the hurricane. Thank you to everyone who checked on us and the house. 🖤 There’s plenty of work behind the beach days, but we’re grateful to keep building this together.

THIS is what all those ridiculous branches became…my fall porch might be my favorite one yet. 🍂 The goal was to make the porch feel different this fall without buying everything all over again. I saved the chicken wire and garland from my old fall arch, reused it as my base, added the branches I cut with the Milwaukeetool M18 FUEL Super Sawzall, and layered in fall picks until it finally started looking like what I had in my head. And because apparently I don’t know when to stop, I finished everything with mums and pumpkins from HomeDepot. 😂

I also used The Home Depot app to check what was in stock before I went because nothing ruins a project run faster than getting there and realizing what you need isn’t available. If you want to recreate this look or grab my saw, you can shop the link in my bio.
