Welcome to the Land of Sweets!

Where candy dreams come true, sugar plums dance through your head, and the Sugar Plum Fairy has sprinkled a little extra magic over everything!

This whimsical cake was filled with colorful, candy-inspired details and a whole lot of sweet magic. Because sometimes the best celebrations deserve a cake straight out of a fairy tale!

“And the Sugar Plum Fairy danced her way into the sweetest celebration…”

Fairy wings made from rice paper!

Sometimes the creations that look complicated are actually much simpler than they seem! 💕

These delicate Sugar Plum Fairy wings were made with something as simple as rice paper and the result is pure magic!

I love finding little tricks and techniques that make cake decorating feel a whole lot less intimidating. You don't always need fancy supplies or complicated techniques to create something beautiful.

Sometimes you just have to give it a try!

I tend to forget how much work goes in canning 🤪, but I almost have the apples all peeled. Apples are simmering in the instant pot and the apple scraps are simmering on the stove for scrap jelly, pepper jelly, and pectin for next year’s jams and jellies! Getting there!

I found so much great produce and other goodies at the Clarke County Farmers Market this morning! We didn’t get a garden this year so this will help me fill our pantry with more food to get through the winter. The hail storms were pretty devastating to so many in our area, so I am really grateful to those who were able to salvage their gardens or were spared from the damaging storms.

FINALLY!!!

After several years of trial… and LOTS of error, I finally have a beautiful loaf of gluten-free sourdough bread! And I am SO excited!

My last trip to the store for gluten-free bread left me with some serious sticker shock!😳 The price has gone up significantly just in the last two weeks, and I am NOT willing to pay that for store bought bread.

Gluten-free bread has always been my Achilles heel. I’ve fought with it for years, but I think I finally won!

We made toast with it this morning, and it was absolutely delicious! It could use a little more “sour,” but honestly, I am thrilled with how it turned out. It has a nice, crunchy crust and a soft, chewy texture inside.

After all those failed loaves, this feels like a big victory and I’ll definitely be making another loaf today!

You better believe gluten-free sourdough bread is going to be added to my list of sourdough items I will be baking for the Farmer’s Market next year! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m finally breaking in my **new All American 941!** 🎉🫙

I’ve been using Presto canners for years, mostly because of the cost, but they were also costing me something even more valuable… TIME!!

Having to run multiple batches could take up an entire day. Now, with the All American 941, I can run one batch and be done!

I’m pretty sure this is going to make canning season SO much better! ❤️

Here’s to more food in the pantry and more time to enjoy life. 💕
