All pieces turned using wood sourced from family and friends in Chester, South Carolina. 🇺🇸

These are so fun to make. I’m making a fifth one this week.

Made using industry-standard JC Products duck call reeds. 🦆

Bowl - old-growth (OG) Redwood from California
Cup - White Oak from South Carolina, turned crossgrain
Bowl - OG Pacific Yew from California
Spoon - Japanese Lilac from northern Maine
Vase with 2-inch diameter glass insert - Thuya Burl

A hollow form I made a few weeks ago from a piece of old-growth California Redwood. The Redwood tree was sustainably harvested. It fell across a California highway in 2025.

Currently finished with pure walnut oil. I may lacquer the exterior to keep the shiny look. This piece is still in the process of drying and it’s looking better and better every day.
