These are the only two things a nail tech should ever be using to remove your calluses and this is to be done gently.
A repaired foot takes time, please do not expect a few pedicures to fix your feet. Depending on the damage of your feet or nails it could take several months or even a year for some.

Your care of them between pedicures makes the world of difference also. ♥️ Lotion and cuticle oils are great.

Per my last post here is a bit more information. These “cheese grater” files should NEVER be used!

Your feet are smart. 👣

Calluses are not “dead skin problems”
they’re actually your body’s natural protection system. When certain areas of your feet experience repeated pressure, friction, rubbing, or impact, your body responds by building thicker skin in that spot to create extra cushioning and protection.

Think of a callus like your foot’s built-in safety pad.
If your heels, toes, or balls of your feet are constantly being stressed from walking, standing, shoes, or pressure points, your body says:
“Hey, this area needs more protection,” and it starts layering skin there.

Here’s the part most people don’t realize:
Aggressively removing calluses can actually make them worse over time.

When calluses are shaved too deeply, over-filed, or aggressively removed, your body can interpret that as trauma or injury. Instead of solving the problem, it often triggers the skin to rebuild even thicker and faster because your body believes it needs to protect that area even more.

It becomes a cycle:
Remove too much → body feels under attack → builds thicker protection → repeat.

That’s why healthy foot care is about balance — not removing every bit of callus.
The goal is to safely reduce excess buildup while still respecting your skin’s natural protective barrier. Soft, healthy feet do not mean paper-thin skin.

Sometimes less is actually more when it comes to long-term foot health. 💛

This picture sums up how busy I am 😅 most likely I’ll not get to the other foot. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Atleast one looks good.

Sorry for being MIA ‼️
I have not been posting lately due to getting everything at the house organized again. Like I previously mentioned I own a business and it takes a lot of my time. Example I have been sitting here for 2.5 hours and I’m not done yet. I’ll most likely be at this desk all day getting work done. So please bare with me on my posting. I will eventually get everything back in order and be more available. ☺️💅🏻
