One of my favorite projects from this past year. This awesome young couple asked if I could build a custom-sized farmhouse table and matching benches for their small dining area in their first home. We looked at options, came up with a plan, and they loved the results! We went from 1st meeting to delivery in 1 week. Up for sale is this piece of functional art. This beautiful coffee table is made from a roughly 2-inch thick slab of black walnut. This slab was hand selected for its unique shape, size, and beautiful figured grain patterns. Imperfections in the wood have been filled with black epoxy and it has been finished with Rubio Monocoat, a hard wax oil finish that is low VOC and has now fully cured and is ready for use. The simple, industrial design legs were chosen by my team of artists to compliment the design without drawing the eye away from the beauty of the wood. It is 31 inches at the widest point, just over 20 inches at the narrow end, and 53 inches to the longest point. Asking $1,250. My first ever sale of a woodworking project. I'd wanted to do one of these for a while and really enjoyed the process. It was a live edge serving board made of solid figured maple with royal blue epoxy accents. 18 x 27 inches. Let me know if you're interested in having me make you something like this one!
