The Beacon Street project was always meant to feel like a boutique hotel. That was the brief and my goal. Warm wood floors do the grounding work, and the floral wallpaper keeps the room from feeling too formal. My clients wanted a real retreat, and I think we got there.

How gorgeous is the wallpaper in this powder room? The goal for this project was editing so the historic bones and contemporary finishes added in by the previous wonder could finally feel like they belonged to the same house, and I think we pulled it off.

The graphic in my kids' bath was a bit of a leap for me with the geometric tumbling blocks pattern. It felt both modern but also reminded me of a quilt pattern, and adds just enough tension to the otherwise subdued palette without overwhelming the classic fixtures. Not quite ready in time is the exuberant and whimsical custom floral shower curtain and cornice board that adds that extra dose of old- meets-new. A designer's own home is never quite finished, and honestly? That's what I love about it…..

This is a mood, isn’t it? .g.rowe depicts a house that looks like it's straight from the pages of a fairytale. I love the way wisteria looks, but I’m learning from master gardeners to please NOT plant it. It ends up being pretty invasive to a landscape. I’ll continue to enjoy it through photos only.

The colors in this Pawtucket living room always make me smile. Whenever possible, I love to incorporate vintage and antiques in every room. The mirror and the coffee table here are vintage from India, and they add so much to the space without taking away from the uplifting tones.
