One of the questions I get all the time - is it okay to mix wood tones, or should everything match?
Short answer: mix them 🤎 always.

I actually encourage mixing 👀 it’s what makes a space feel layered, collected, and lived-in instead of like a showroom set.

The key is making sure everything has a friend.
You don’t want just one random dark piece floating around - repeat tones so they feel intentional.

I like to approach it the same way I do mixed metals:
→ a primary (think cabinetry or fixtures)
→ a secondary (floors, furniture, accents)

When done right, it adds warmth, depth, and that effortless “homey” feel.🤎🤍

Definitely not perfect (don’t zoom in too hard 😂 a few off proportions, abrupt transitions, and floating moments in there), but it’s such a good way to start feeling the space before it’s built.🪄
This is shaping up to be a one dreamy primary bedroom oasis, and I couldn’t be happier for my sweet clients that this is (so soon!) coming to life 🫶 🤎🌱🪨🪵

When I started my business two years ago, I never in a million years imagined I’d see my name (and my face!) in a magazine—let alone a multi-page feature in a national publication. I’m honestly still processing it, and I’m so grateful.🥹
