Meet Marín
(Pronounced muh-RINN)
Marín means “of the sea”, which is a totally appropriate nod to the fact that I was born, raised, educated, live, and work in coastal Virginia.
It is also a meaningful nod to the most unforgettable day of our honeymoon in California several years ago.
Marín also has French roots (as do I 🥖🥐🍫🧀)

Marín was sanded down to her bare, natural wood and finished in a white grain highlighting wax. We ripped off that old, dirty tweed fabric and gave her new life 🤩

Kudos to my own personal master craftsman for “screwin’ & gluin’” her back to her original strength. She’s an antique but she doesn’t feel OR look like it anymore ❤️

One of our favorite pieces to date✨

A beautiful antique walnut twin bed set has been reborn as a gorgeous bench 😍

Santa’s head elf tells me that when this antique headboard/footboard was made, they didn’t have the machinery to make those details like they do now; So all the scrollwork you see was hand chiseled and crafted. Even the bed slats were repurposed to make the rustic pine bench seat.

I love every inch of this thing🥰
