🎀🎄COMMENT “ribbon” and I’ll send links for the velvet & striped ribbons for Christmas bows! I use the velvet every year on our tree and it’s the perfect amount of whimsy! 🎈 we decided to bring our stories to reels… what do we think!? 😆

I remember being SO OVERWHELMED when we moved into our house and I didn’t know where to start. I knew I wanted a colorful home but felt like it was for ~other~ people… you know, designers, creatives, the people with an eye.

But as I’ve learned over the years, you don’t need “the gift,” YOU NEED A COLOR PALETTE 👏

It’s the secret to everything we do here— truly, every single decorating decision (big or small!) starts with our palette.

Here’s how that looks in our home (I love using our house as the classroom! 📚✏️🍎 )

🍟 Yellow is one of my palette colors, and you’ll find it in every room here. Sometimes it’s the star, like the yellow trim in our breakfast nook. Other times it’s as simple as a yellow scarf hanging in the entryway or a bowl of fruit on the kitchen counter (even LEMONS add some color! 🍋)

📝 Using the same colors over and over in different ways is what makes a home feel thoughtful, layered and cohesive

🎪 So if you’re ready to add more color to your home, my biggest advice is to start with the colors you love and go from there. Trust me, there really is a bit of life-changing magic waiting for you✨
