Murmuration.

Have you ever seen a starling murmuration against a winter sky at dusk? If you have, you know that there is nothing on earth quite like it.
(please bless your day by looking up a video of it if you have not.)

The starlings synchronously move as one in swooshes, swirls. helixes. A hypnotic dance of reciprocity.

Non-floral content but.. images that bring me joy. What it looked like to walk out my back door last week.

I was writing through a contemplative practice last weekend and I was asked in a journal prompt: what was your favorite thing you did this week?
Walking around my yard and capturing the brief brilliance of the yellow carpet of sweet gum and maple leaves was my answer.
Particularly in hard times, doing simple little practices of tangible creativity, acts of noticing, can be a little boost of levity to carry you through your days.
At least, this is so, for me.

Thank you for your patience with me, words, and prayers, as I have navigated some awful things this past week and a half (or so).
I am getting caught up on my emails & if I missed any text/dm etc. please know that I did read and greatly appreciate you and your kindness.

Someday I’ll piece together some words to express how I’m feeling about the sudden loss of my Dad.
For today, I leave the warmth of local blooms and botanically dyed fabric to enjoy 🕯️
