We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming another precious baby girl into our family this August!

As we share this joyful news, we also ask for prayers. This pregnancy has become high risk, as our baby girl has been diagnosed with a cystic hygroma on the back of her neck. The answers we’ve received range widely—from the possibility that it could resolve on its own, to potentially losing the pregnancy. It’s a rare and uncertain situation.

Even in this season of the unknown, we trust in the God of miracles. We are praying for healing, peace, and wisdom, and above all, that the Lords’ will be done for this sweet baby girl 🤍

After taking a few months off (you can thank morning sickness that just happens to be all day sickness for me 😅) I’m happy to be back! There won’t be a February special, but I am accepting orders for the year-round menu and will continue to do so throughout the year and hopefully get back to making monthly specials as well.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13-14

𝐓𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮!

To you — every single one of you — 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
You have shown up in more ways than I ever could have imagined this past year… with your prayers, your encouragement, and your orders of Daily Bread. None of this would be possible without you, and I am so deeply grateful for the way you’ve helped shape Daily Bread into what it is today.

One of my favorite surprises of this year has been the community that has formed around this little cottage kitchen. What started with me baking quietly at home has grown into something shared — conversations at markets, familiar faces at pop-ups, friends made over a loaf of bread, and the warm feeling of belonging that comes from doing something together. You’ve turned Daily Bread into more than a business; you’ve helped make it a place where people connect, support one another, and show up in the sweetest ways. This community is truly something special, and I am humbled to be part of it.

I’ve always wanted to own my own business. I’ve always been interested in the world of business… but I never felt confident enough. I always thought others were better, smarter, more creative — and that I just wasn’t cut out for something like this.

But one night, while I was nursing Leighton and praying over her and over our future, the words Daily Bread came to my mind. A few weeks later, in the middle of some really hard postpartum days and navigating dairy-free eating while nursing a baby we thought was lactose intolerant, I just wanted something that would bring me a little joy.

So I created a dairy-free cinnamon roll recipe.

I served them to friends who were coming over for chili and cinnamon rolls for a Husker game, and they told me they were so good I should sell them. And in that moment… I knew. That’s where Daily Bread began.

Watching this business grow into something I’m truly proud of has been such a joy — and I’m learning to be proud of myself, too. Even though I still second-guess every recipe, every post, and every marketing idea, I keep going because you have given me the confidence to. I love baking for you, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to do so!

Love,
Hunter 🤍
