Come out and support a good cause!!

This year we are involved in this amazing local fundraising opportunity with Athens County Humane Society 32nd Annual Garden Tour!

Join us at our new headquarters 667 E State St (the former visitors center in front of the Athens Community Center) on Sunday, June 28, 11am - 4pm.

Some of our members will be set up on the lawn next to the beautiful gardens selling their work and will be donating a portion of their sales to the humane society.

PSA! TLDR; If you make things and post images of them on Facebook as I do, be wary of scammers.

I have had two conversations in less than one week, both followed a similar transcript. It will be a message based on an image posted with a message akin to "is this still for sale". Followed by asking if you take Zelle, CashApp or Paypal. After that, they request an email address for confirmation, failing that, they will ask for a phone number. These are ways the user can attempt to access your account.

Notice in this one, I provided a link to paypal.me and when prompted for an email address, I provided the link from paypal stating it is not required. For your convenience it is https://www.paypal.com/fk/cshelp/article/what-is-paypalme-help432 in that article it states "They don't have to know your email address or mobile phone number, or even have the PayPal app. They can just tap on your link, go to your PayPal.Me, type in the amount, and send the money."

This person followed up with a screen shot, making it appear an email was required to continue/confirm the transaction, a quick google image search provided the results I pasted in, at which point the person mysteriously dropped offline and would appear to have blocked me, which I thought was slightly humorous.

The other individual not phased by the link to paypal continued with asking for a phone number so his cousin could coordinate shipping. At that point I informed them I would only communicate with them and ONLY through Facebook messenger at which point they dropped off and eventually blocked me (or was removed from FB).

So, be cautious out there, there are people that have nothing better to do with their time than to try and scam other people.

Been a productive day. Adding to what I will have with me at Meigs County Farmers' Market tomorrow.

These pens come in gold, chrome, antique pewter and gun metal. I have 1 of each (until I get an answer from a friend) with references to John 3:16 and Matthew 17:20. They are all made with Olive wood from Jerusalem.

UPDATE! I now have only 2 with John 3:16, one chrome, one gunmetal.

I will be at the Meigs County Farmers' Market tomorrow! My set up may be a bit smaller than usual as Steffie's Sparkles is out running around in Pennsylvania and took extra tables (have to give my better half a little grief).

Anyhow, for this weekend, I have my first ever matching pen and pencil set! This set comes in a custom made box (walnut plywood) for display or storage! Stop by and say hi if you are in the area!!

I had someone ask "Do you have pictures of the pens you have?" Which made me realize 2 things. I need to make more pens and I need to take more pictures!

Thank you Vicki R. Dornbush for prompting me to take some pictures and allowing me to show off the pens!

I can do custom orders if you want a particular theme, style or wood (I do have some acrylics, but mostly do wood).
