Eucalyptus Mauby Bark Cinnamon Cardamom Tea Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon eucalyptus leaves
- 1 teaspoon mauby bark
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 4 cups water
- Honey or lemon (optional, for taste)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Rinse the eucalyptus leaves and mauby bark to remove any impurities.
- Lightly crush the cardamom pods to release their flavor.

2. Boil the Water:
- In a medium-sized pot, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil.

3. Add Ingredients:
- Once the water is boiling, add the eucalyptus leaves, mauby bark, cinnamon stick, and crushed cardamom pods.

4. Simmer:
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes. This allows the flavors to infuse into the water.

5. Strain:
- After simmering, remove the pot from heat and strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups to remove the solid ingredients.

6. Serve:
- Pour the tea into cups. Add honey or lemon if desired, to enhance the flavor.

7. Enjoy:
- Sip slowly and enjoy the soothing and aromatic tea.

Ingredients:
- 1 lb salt fish (codfish)
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:
1. Soak the salt fish in water overnight to remove excess salt. Drain and rinse the fish the next day.
2. Boil the fish in a pot of water for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and cool.
3. Once cooled, remove any bones and flake the fish into small pieces.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked fish, mashed potatoes, onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, flour, egg, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
5. Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
7. Fry the fish cakes in batches, about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
8. Remove the fish cakes from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
9. Serve hot with a side of tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon juice. Enjoy your delicious salt fish cakes!
