If you’re going to overthink, overthink the positives.

Overthink how good things could be when they finally start working out. Overthink the opportunities you haven’t seen yet. Overthink the people who might say yes. Overthink the wins that could be right around the corner.

I often joke that I own the luckiest company in the world.

And I believe it.

Not because everything goes our way. It doesn’t.

I could focus on delayed shipments because of civil unrest. The partnerships that didn’t end up happening. The mistakes. My mistakes. The opportunities we missed. The DMs that never got a response.

Every business owner has a list of things that didn’t work out.

But I choose to focus on what did.

I focus on the customer who found us. The retailer who took a chance on us. The product that unexpectedly took off. The introduction that changed everything. The problem that somehow worked itself out.

The more grateful I am for the wins, the luckier I feel.

And the luckier I feel, the more willing I am to keep showing up when things get hard.

Building a business will always come with setbacks. Hard days are part of the deal.

But I truly believe that if you walk through life looking for evidence that good things happen to you, you’ll find more of it.

Maybe being lucky isn’t what happens to us.

Maybe it’s what we choose to notice.

Run! Run! Runnnnn!! We start each “final gift of Christmas” with a clue tucked in their Bauble Stocking, and then it’s off to the races to find all the clues we’ve hidden around the house (typically in the form of a poem, written in theme by ChatGPT 😉).

Every year, our family saves each person’s best, most thoughtful gift for last. It’s not from Santa- it’s from the rest of us- and we’ve taken the time to sit down as a family and select what would be most special to each recipient (without them present, of course!)

Yes, it usually turns into a scavenger hunt, sending the recipient running through the house, laughing, searching, feeling how much thought went into this one moment. And when they finally find it… pure joy.

That’s what makes the Bauble Stockings tradition so special. It’s not just the gift- it’s the moment. The pause in Christmas morning to celebrate just them.

Our Bauble Stockings gift is always the final, meaningful one. The gift that grows with them year after year. It doesn’t have to fit in the stocking—it just has to fit them.

Happy 8th Birthday, Bauble Stockings! Eight years. Every single one of them has had something good in it. I feel like I’m the luckiest company in the world and each year could be marked with something I’d never dreamed of!

It started on my kitchen room table with an infant, Calder, on my side and my toddler, Brianna, at my feet. Unrolling velvet to ship in boxes to Haiti, packing orders and writing a thank you note for every one that went out the door.

I look back at my dining room table days and I don’t see small beginnings, even though I remember feeling them. I look back and wonder how I managed it all- the babies, the full time job, and starting this company on top of it. Honestly, I’m so proud of me for not giving up in those early days!

I would not be here without the help, encouragement and doors opened by so many. THANK YOU for making this possible!!

From sketch ✏️ ➡️ to MacStitch 💻 ➡️ to hand-stitched heirloom 🪡✨

Every Bauble Stockings design begins as an idea on paper. The amazing Sarah Watson has sketched each concept by hand, refining the personality, colors, and tiny details that make every ornament-sized Bauble Stocking feel special.

From there, she has translated it into MacStitch, where every stitch, shadow, and color placement is thoughtfully mapped out stitch by stitch.

Finally, the team of talented artisans in Haiti .threads brings the design to life by hand, turning a digital canvas into a finished needlepoint stocking that will become part of someone’s Christmas tradition for years to come ❤️🎄
