I usually am all about JOY, but thought this experience was worth sharing. The sadness of losing a baby is traumatic. Recently I sent a watercolor out to a "faithful" who wanted it for her daughter that just lost her baby before the birth. As I listened to her story I quickly realized how this impacts the whole family & framily. As a Mom she was mourning the loss of a grandbaby and feeling for her daughter & son-in-law. Now I started remembering the day we lost a son at 20 weeks before birth. This was before cell phones and my husband was in college downtown. My Dad was with me. A man of few words, but his love was so felt. That was 30 years ago and both baby and Dad are in heaven. Now a few days after sending the cardinal "visitor from heaven" art out I painted this...It started out just creating a horse because my Dad loved horses and I was painting a series for an upcoming show. However, my emotions landed right on the canvas. I haven't thought about that loss of so many years ago. But as you can see, the horse has a blue c**t and large horse in the shadows. God took my empathy and dropped it right on the canvas. LIFE CHANGES, LOVE STAYS!
