Sewing is your ride-or-die craft, but you aren't always able to sew, especially when you're watching TV on the couch, relaxing beachside, or riding shotgun on your next road trip. Without sewing, are you supposed to just... sit there? 😑

Your creative hands need an outlet, and that's where a new craft comes in: Knitting! Not only is it a fun hobby, but you can also knit just about anywhere! 😁

So where do you begin if you want to explore the world of knitting? Well...

We've partnered with The Yarn Winder to bring you a special fiber arts crossover event!

Located in Winder, GA, The Yarn Winder is a fiber arts supply store offering yarn in a wide variety of fibers and colors, supplies for knitting, crochet, and other fiber arts crafts, and classes and make-alongs.

At this event, Sondra, owner of The Yarn Winder, will bring a curated sampling of her shop to our Bogart studio. Come explore yarn and fiber supplies, and enjoy demonstrations in knitting, crochet, spinning, and weaving! The Yarn Winder has built a wonderful, creative community that welcomes anyone interested in exploring a new fiber arts hobby. This is where you’ll find plenty of opportunities to discover a local business, learn a new skill, and connect with fellow makers!

It’s all happening on Saturday, June 27, from 10:30 am to 4 PM in our Bogart studio! Pop-in at any time — we’d love to see you at this FREE event!

Quilt Week during Summer Camps 2026 = A smashing success! 🙌

They planned their fabric and palette layouts, pieced each row, added borders, experimented with decorative stitches, and tied the entire project together with binding… These campers have just finished their first quilts and they are tremendous!

The (free-motion) gloves are coming ON! 🧤✨

Free-motion quilting can be frustrating, especially when all you want to do is create beautiful designs but your stitches refuse to stay consistent. With the Janome Janome Accurate Stitch Regulator (ASR), however, FMQ becomes so much easier!

The ASR—compatible with select Janome models (MC9480, Continental M8, and Continental M17)—detects the movement of your fabric during free-motion quilting and automatically adjusts the machine’s speed to match YOUR movements. The result? Beautiful, even stitches and a smooth FMQ experience.

Our Duluth studio is hosting its first Kids' Summer Sewing Series, where young makers will create three cool and functional projects while learning foundational sewing skills! Each class is designed for ages 8 and up, and no previous sewing experience is required. All materials are provided—including sewing machines—and kids can choose their own fabrics for each project. Just bring your creativity (and a snack!), and we'll be ready to sew!

This is what our summer roster looks like:

• Reusable Gift Bag (June 26 from 10 AM to 12 PM) - Using exterior fabric and ribbon handles, kids will create a reusable gift bag that's sure to be a hit at birthday and holiday parties!

• Kids' Apron (July 7 from 10 AM to 12 PM) - Comfortable and easy to wear, kids can wear this apron when cooking, crafting, gardening, or helping around the house. They will love showing off their handmade creation, and the front pocket keeps supplies (and snacks!) on hand at all times.

• Personalized Door Hanger (July 21 from 10 AM to 12 PM) - This project is all about creativity! Students will choose their favorite initial, appliqué it onto fabric, add decorative stitching, and create a custom door hanger to display in their rooms.

America’s 250th Anniversary is a historic milestone, and many makers are looking to stitch something new to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime event! Whether you prefer sewing, machine embroidery, or both, the Let Freedom Reign Sewing & Machine Embroidery Event is designed for every skill level and lets you create three patriotic keepsakes that celebrate your love of country and creativity:

Session One – Patriotic Apron (Sewing Only) - During this session, you'll create a charming waist apron using toweling and a fat quarter for the pocket. This sewing project is open to all students, and those with an embroidery machine can add a festive fireworks design to personalize their apron.

Session Two – Dazzling Pinwheels & All-American Bunting (Machine Embroidery) - After completing the apron, machine embroidery enthusiasts can embroider dazzling pinwheels and darling all-American bunting that will bring patriotic flair to summertime celebrations. These projects feature in-the-hoop methods, incorporate free-standing lace techniques, and teach you about different stabilizer types.

You can attend Session One only if you'd like to focus on sewing, or register for the complete series (Sessions One and Two) if you own a combo or embroidery-only machine.

Can we take a moment to admire these AMAZING dresses? These girls made them from start to finish during the first summer camp of the season! 😍

From reading and following a pattern to fitting each dress to their own measurements, adding embellishments and creative touches, and even using a SERGER, they did it all! 🌟

These dresses are GORGEOUS! The girls' creativity, talent, and determination have left us in AWE. We love seeing their faces beaming with pride, joy, and excitement as they take on the rest of their summer looking oh-so-fashionable! 💃🏻

It’s the final day of the Georgia Celebrates Quilts Show!

We’ve spent the last few days surrounded by incredible quilts, amazing sewists, and great shopping.

You can find us in Booth today from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Cobb County Civic Center!

And here's the thing: we’re packing up the U-Haul after the show, and we’d really rather not take every machine back home. If you've had your eye on a machine, come see us before the show ends—you never know what might happen when we're faced with loading everything back into the U-Haul. (We’re tired, y’all!) 😉

The Georgia Celebrates Quilts Show begins today!

Featuring more than 300 quilts—the largest quilt show in Georgia—a bustling vendor hall, and plenty of creative camaraderie, this is one event you won't want to miss.

Our booth is all set up, and we have to say—it looks pretty fantastic! 😍 We have all of our top Janome sewing and embroidery machines here with us, all available with exclusive show pricing.
