Another project for my bathroom remodel while remaking mirrors and painting cabinets, ceilings and walls!! Oh my!🫣 I needed a petite chair and remembered a beat up set I found with a table I was interested in. Bingo! This one is in pretty good shape, minus what seems 100 yrs of grunge and a family dog that must have enjoyed it too. Lol Let’s see how she works out!

It’s what I’m doing New Year’s Day! Lol How about you? It’s trial and error with my vision for this box store mirror purchased 19 yrs ago. The beauty of diy is it can all be changed! Don’t like it? Start over or pivot to something else. That’s where I am. But in the end, I want something I love and I don’t give up! Here’s to seeing your visions come true for you in the new year! ❤️

Meet “Bridgette”, an early 1900’s Jacobean style buffet / server. She’s been with for sometime in various stages of transformation and is finally refinished from top to bottom - including her undercarriage! :) These girls - especially this big and heavy - deserve a full makeover, including re-lining the silver drawer with beautiful new velvet!

If you know me, I’m a sucker for beautiful wood grain and I will do all I can to save it and highlight it! Sadly, in this case, the bottom drawer required paint for aesthetic reasons. Trust me! It killed me to paint it after refinishing it! But check out the top drawer and it’s matching wood elements that take center stage!

Happy customers make all the time and energy worth it! ❤️ Such a relief too when they arrive safely! They’re like my babies driving off in the family car for the first time and hearing they arrived safe and sound. Lol

She’s now posted and available in my Etsy shop! Chairish shop is next. Now that I’ve officially retired, it’s nice to have more time for my furniture and DIY projects. On to the next piece after my laundry room shelving install and makeover!
