This room was completed after our clients moved-in … why, I can’t now remember. But it was empty long enough to capture the kids’ hearts … turns out our youth love an empty room. In a 2nd grade essay, their son coined the unfinished room “the nothingness room” and deemed it his favorite.

While the nothingness of it was ruined by me, the name stuck. Here I present to you, “The Nothingness Room.”

A look back to about 7 years ago, when we had just completed work on as captured by Lindsay Brown Taunton

I originally bought this house - inspired by my drive to save it - by justifying my investment as a business decision. We ran out our office and Reiss Studio here for the first several years.

Now it’s my home and soon she gets her next round of renovations and a small addition. I’m happy to share these two rooms - the living and dining room - will not be touched at all.
