The best shower upgrade might be putting a bathtub inside it?

This layout comes up a lot with Austin homeowners who want both a soaking tub and a real walk-in shower but don't have the square footage for two separate zones. One glass enclosure, one drain, one space that handles everything.

People worry it'll feel cramped. It actually opens the whole bathroom up because you're not carving the room into separate compartments with half walls and extra doors.
