Hello, and welcome if you are new around here 👋

We are Stephanie and Melanie; Sisters and the team behind Saint Louise Design, an interior design studio based in Austin, Texas.

Interior design is a third career for both of us (more on that later)… and as much as we love beautiful spaces, we are not just here to make things look pretty. We want to know how you live. Your morning rituals, your kids’ homework and evening routines, your go to takeout order, and what your version of a perfect night at home looks like. The magic is in designing spaces that feel as good as they look.

In our mid-twenties, Melanie and I spent a month in the south of France and came back with… a styling trick. 😉

In Grasse, we fell in love with the ritual of scent and how parfumeurs protect their products under glass, elevated in the simplest, most intentional way.

We didn’t realize it then, but it stuck.

Now we’re the people putting candles under cloches like they’re priceless objects. And honestly… they kind of are.

Because even a small detail can shift the entire feeling of a space.

“It’s rare to actually feel like you should have spent MORE money on a service when undergoing a home improvement project, but that was the case with Stephanie and Melanie at Saint Louise Design. They are not only incredibly talented at design, but are incredibly professional, on top of it and efficient. (Not to mention, wonderful, fun people to work with!) They caught issues our contractors should have caught in the final aspects of our project, and also took such a load off finding and vetting people who would bring our design to fruition. I was so grateful to have a team who could listen to my idea and make it happen seemingly effortlessly— AND execute it even better than I had envisioned it. They thought of small details that not only made our space more efficient, but also look more polished. The contrast is subtle, timeless, and proof that mixing stone is where the magic happens! ✨

The concept for this Westlake kitchen remodel was simple from the start: Texas, but make it timeless.

Perfect timing too. Today we were quoted in Apartment Therapy discussing exactly this in “The Old Stone Rules Designers Are Breaking in 2026 (And What They’re Doing Instead).” Find the article linked in our bio!

Our stories shape the way we show up in the world.

As women, mothers, and business owners, our unique experiences influence how we lead, how we create, and even how we approach interior design.

Raising boys has given us an even deeper perspective. Every day we’re showing them what it looks like to be a woman who leads, who builds, who creates, and who cares deeply about her work and her family.

We want them to know that strength can look like compassion. Leadership can look like collaboration. And success can be defined in many different ways.

We feel incredibly grateful to design homes for so many inspiring women and families in our community…spaces that support the lives being lived inside them.

Today we’re celebrating women everywhere who are writing their own definitions.

Happy International Women’s Day from Saint Louise Design ✨

Everyone, including your pets are affected by their surroundings! 😆

In all seriousness, our environments impact our daily wellbeing. Our clients wanted a retreat-like bedroom that they could unwind in at the end of a long day. They wanted to keep a few key pieces, so we designed the space around them and needless to say the whole family was thrilled with the result! 🐶
