A little behind-the-scenes moment from Lunamira ✨🪢

One of our favorite parts of the design process is watching a space come alive with the people and stories that will fill it.

Here, Brenda, owner of Lunamira, teaches Jenni the beautiful art of Furoshiki wrapping and how a simple square of fabric can transform into a functional, reusable purse. 🌿

Part tradition, part artistry, part everyday magic.

Lunamira, now open in The Cove on Bainbridge Island, is filled with thoughtful details like these: clean beauty, incredible scents, colorful gifts, and a curated collection of Japanese Furoshiki scarves that turn wrapping into an experience all its own.

Lunamira has quietly opened its doors in The Cove on Winslow, and stepping inside feels a little like opening a jewelry box filled with color, fragrance, texture, and tiny moments of delight. 🌈✨

From the incredible candle collection greeting you at the front door, to the clean beauty selections, playful fragrances, gifts, towels, hats, and the stunning wall of Japanese Furoshiki scarves… every corner feels curated with joy. The shop is layered with personality in the best way possible. Bold, artistic, fresh, and completely inviting.

We loved helping bring this vibrant little world to life for the Bainbridge Island community. Lunamira is more than a store. It’s an experience. A colorful exhale. A place to wander, discover, and leave inspired.

Color therapy, meet retail therapy. 🛍️

Lunamira is beginning to come alive at The Cove on Winslow, and this little corner already feels like stepping into a joyful cinematic frame. Saturated color. Playful pattern. A glow that instantly lifts your mood the second you walk in.

Designed as a modern clean beauty destination, Lunamira will be filled with thoughtfully curated skincare, beauty, gifts, and all the beautiful little rituals that help us slow down and care for ourselves a bit more intentionally.

One of our favorite details? The upcoming Furoshiki wrapping station featuring gorgeous Japanese wrapping scarves, transforming gift wrapping into something meaningful, sustainable, and artful. 🎁

This project has been such a fun departure into boldness for us. A little retro. A little Tokyo. A little cosmic spa lounge tucked into Bainbridge Island. And we cannot wait to show you more as the finishing layers go in.

Soft opening days feel a little like watching a heartbeat for the first time 💫

Today was Bainbridge Play Cafe’s quiet debut into the world, and we got to stand back and watch it come alive. Families trickled in, kids instinctively finding their rhythm in the space… climbing, reading, imagining. No chaos, no overwhelm. Just this gentle hum of play.

Parents lingered a little longer than usual 🤍
Conversations started. Connections formed. Community beginning to root itself.

And behind the counter, something equally beautiful—baristas moving through a workflow that was so intentionally designed. Every step, every reach, every moment… working exactly as it should.

That’s the magic we kept hearing all day:
“It feels so good in here.”

Clean. Happy. Calm.
A space that holds energy without overwhelming it.

Little pockets everywhere—
a cozy chair for reading,
a corner for imaginative play,
a tiny slide that quietly stole the show.

Everyone found their place.

And yes… the coffee? ☕️
So, so good.

This is why we do what we do.

Sometimes the best design moves aren’t about adding more… they’re about shifting perception.

These windows started life as a conversion from a garage door opening, which left them sitting low and feeling a little underwhelming in the space.

So instead of replacing them, we played a little visual trick. We added a thick, intentional top molding to draw the eye upward 👀

Now your brain reads the window as taller than it actually is… and suddenly it feels aligned with the rest of the home’s architecture.

Same windows. Completely different presence.

Design isn’t always about what you see at first glance… it’s about what your eye believes it sees.
