It’s the 10th annual Hill and Valley Exploration Tour weekend! 🍂🌾

If you’re planning to spend the weekend exploring the beautiful hills, valleys, farms, shops and makers throughout the area, be sure to stop at Wilkinson farms meat and produce!

I’m so excited to share that My Midwest Abode candles + home goods will be available there during the tour ... and will continue to be available at the farm store afterward!

Come wander, shop local, enjoy the fall scenery. Happy adventuring!

Meet the Fragrances: Cinnamon Vanilla

This one is a little extra special because Cinnamon Vanilla was the very first fragrance I ever poured. So every time I smell it, there’s a little bit of nostalgia mixed in. (swipe to see the original label!)

It’s warm and cozy with spicy cinnamon and sweet, creamy vanilla…the kind of scent that makes your home feel instantly more inviting.

It may have been where my candle-making journey started, but it’s still a favorite all these years later. 🤍

Have you tried Cinnamon Vanilla? Is it one of your favorites, too?

organized chaos ✨

that about sums up what it’s like running a small business out of a single room in our home.

boxes, made candles, curing candles, freshly poured candles, wax waiting to be poured, fragrance bottles, more boxes, pouring pitchers, thermometers, notes, market supplies, and even more boxes … and a ton of gratitude that you can’t see.

i’m so grateful to have this space, for it to be productively chaotic, and the opportunity to fill my creative cup. many thanks to Y O U for your part in all of it 🤍

Meet the Fragrances: Apple Maple Bourbon

Apple Maple Bourbon is my best-selling fragrance all year round. It’s that cozy combination of crisp apples, sweet maple, and a little bourbon warmth that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile.

Fun fact: I once entered an Apple Maple Bourbon pie in a pie contest, inspired by this candle. I wish I could say the pie was a guaranteed winner, but we’ll just say the fragrance was the real winner. 😂 (she was pretty, but needed a stronger maple and bourbon flavor…next time!)

With notes of crisp apple, orange, cinnamon, warm bourbon, butter, maple, and vanilla, it smells like a decadent apple dessert with a little something extra. A little fruity, a little sweet, a little boozy… and a whole lot of cozy.

If you’ve smelled this one at an event, you probably understand why it’s such a favorite. And if you haven’t… consider this your introduction. 😉

Have you tried Apple Maple Bourbon? Is it one of your favorites, too?
