Is anyone else ridiculously excited for a perfect fall weekend? 🍂

Here in Michigan, the weather is looking just right for all the things that make this season my favorite—c***r mills, pumpkin patches, crisp air, changing leaves, and those little traditions that somehow become some of your favorite memories.

Some of my best fall memories are tied to days like these. Wandering through a pumpkin patch, grabbing c***r and donuts, taking the long way home to enjoy the colors... it’s hard not to love this time of year.

There’s something about a cool, rainy Michigan day that changes what you want your home to feel like. 🍂

As I sat down to work today, the cooler weather immediately made me think: this is a Pumpkin Spice kind of day.

So into the warmer it went.

It’s such a simple thing, but fragrance has a way of bringing the whole atmosphere together. When the weather outside turns cool and gray, warm seasonal scents can make the space around you feel a little softer, warmer, and cozier.

That’s one of the things I love most about home fragrance. It isn’t only about making a room smell good. It can help create a feeling that fits the moment.

Okay, I have to share what I've been working on all day because I'm a little geeked about this one. 🤓🖤

I've been tucked away behind the scenes designing the new Stone Raven website, and today I finally finished something I've been envisioning for a while:

The Fragrance Library.

Choosing fragrances online can be tricky. You can't exactly reach through the screen and smell it - so I wanted to create a way to make discovering a Stone Raven fragrance feel a little more intuitive (and a lot more fun).

Inside the Fragrance Library, you'll be able to explore all of the scents I offer, browse by mood or collection, search by fragrance notes, or follow whatever catches your eye.

See something that sounds like you?

Click Discover This Scent and its fragrance card opens to tell you more - the notes, the mood, the story behind the scent, and all the different ways you can bring that fragrance home.

Wax melts? Choose your size.
Hanging diffuser? It's right there.
Room or car spray? You can order it from the same place.

No hunting around the website trying to figure out which products are available in which scents.

It took me all day to get this working and looking exactly the way I wanted it to... and I'm ridiculously excited about how it turned out. 😁

These are the kinds of little details I've been obsessing over while building the new Stone Raven website. I don't just want it to be beautiful - I want exploring it to feel easy, inspiring, and a little like wandering through Stone Raven itself.

I can't wait for you to explore The Fragrance Library for yourself.

Have you ever sat in a room and thought, “I can barely smell my wax melt anymore,” even though there’s still plenty of fragrance left?

You might be experiencing nose blindness.

When we’re surrounded by the same scent for a while, our brains begin to recognize it as familiar and pay less attention to it. The fragrance may still be filling the room - you’ve simply become accustomed to it.

It’s the same reason you might stop noticing the scent of your own home, while a guest notices it the moment they walk through the door.

If your favorite wax melt suddenly seems a little less noticeable, try:

• Stepping outside or into an unscented space for a little while before returning
• Turning off your warmer and giving your senses a break
• Rotating between different fragrance families instead of continually using similar scents
• Moving your warmer to another area of your home

And before tossing perfectly good wax because you think the fragrance is gone, give your nose a chance to reset. You may be surprised by what you notice when you come back.

Creating atmosphere with fragrance isn't always about making a room smell stronger. Sometimes, it's about giving our senses enough space to notice it again.

How fitting that today is International Crow & Raven Appreciation Day! 🖤🐦‍⬛

I celebrate these corvids every day by feeding the neighborhood murder (crows).

Every time I hear a crow cawing, it brings a smile to my face and a feeling of peace in my soul. They are my spirit animal!

Don't know much about them? Here are a few characteristics you may find interesting:

🖤 They use tools (like sticks) to retrieve food if needed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🖤 They can recognize specific human faces in a crowd (for up to 2 years after first seeing them).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🖤 They mourn the death of their own by gathering around them and making noises.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🖤 They are always observing and learning. They are known to memorize garbage truck routes to learn the best time to find tasty food.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🖤 They learn from another crow/raven's misfortune. If one is killed in a field, they will change their flight patterns to avoid that field. If one is attacked and survives, it will go back to the pack (murder) and tell the others about it to avoid that area in the future.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
