What started out as a few small custom planter boxes turned into a full backyard transformation.

We headed out to Alvin to give Michelle Graham a quote on custom planters designed to slide over existing electrical boxes—but the project quickly grew into something much bigger.

We built three custom planter boxes, each reinforced with centered 4x4 posts and equipped with hooks for hanging plants. To elevate the look even further, we added solar lighting to each box for a clean, finished touch.

From there, we worked with her to bring her full backyard vision to life. The project expanded to include:
• A 6” lifetime aluminum garden edge barrier
• 40-year commercial-grade w**d barrier (4.2 oz woven for proper drainage)
• A 3” black mulch bed to complement the existing rustic corrugated planters
• Octagonal stepping stones for easy access and plant care
• A rounded mulch bed design to create smooth flow and allow for future backyard additions

To top it all off, we took on a personal project for her FREE of charge—restoring a sentimental lamppost her father bought years ago. We’re customizing it to support a solar light and bring it back to life.

Got a call out to take a look at some fence repairs. Unfortunately, due to poor craftsmanship from the previous contractor, the existing gates couldn’t be salvaged.

We removed what was left, hauled everything back to the shop, and started a full rebuild the right way.

This time, we upgraded to solid 4x4 framing instead of sandwiched 2x4s to prevent the same failures from happening again. We were also able to retain the original hog wire by routing it in with a 1/2” bit, giving it a clean, snug fit without compromising structural integrity.

We’re very happy with the progress so far and looking forward to seeing the finished product come together.
