I’ve never really been a political person. I never chose a side, because I never fully agreed with either. To me, both sides have always felt like wings of the same evil bird, while neither truly serve the people.

But this isn’t about politics anymore. It’s not about sides. It’s about people.

None of us asked to be here. We were born into this world without a choice, into lives shaped by circumstance—some more fortunate than others. But in the end, we’re all just people, doing our best to live and make sense of this life.

No one should be worth more than another. No one should be worth less. We are all human beings. We are all the same.

I can’t begin to understand how anyone can believe that someone deserves to be locked away, torn from their family, or sent to dangerous places simply because of how they look or where their parents came from. I can’t wrap my head around the idea that some people don’t deserve food, medical care, or dignity, just because they're in a lower tax bracket.

I don’t understand it. Because in the end, we’re all just people. All the same. Not one better than the other.

I still don’t fully claim a side. But I do claim something. I choose people. I choose compassion. I choose to resist pain and cruelty, in all its forms.

I choose to resist.

I just completed this botanical moon phase engraving on a real donkey skull, and I couldn’t be more in love with how it turned out. 🌙🌼

Hand-burned with care and intention, this design weaves together wildflowers, lunar symbolism, and earthy elegance. The central full moon, flanked by waxing and waning crescents, honors the cycles of nature and spirit. Below, a blooming flower anchors the design in grounded beauty.
