Welcome to the official page of International Artist Jennifer Lake. International artist Jennifer Lake is an amazingly versatile artist.

Best known for her detailed folk art paintings, her work is cherished by collectors in the United States and internationally. Many of her print series have completely sold out. There are over 600 paintings in the collection and more that two million prints have been sold. Her work has been featured in numerous newspaper articles, magazines and television programs here and abroad, the most exciting of which was her tours throughout Japan. Jennifer began her professional painting career over 40 years ago. With love of American history, nature and the west, she created a series for New York, Oregon, Washington and Canada. Her work is a feast of color and minute detail that captivates the eye. For over 25 years Jennifer Lake had several art galleries located in Sisters, Bend and on the Oregon coast. In December of 2012 Jennifer closed her art galleries and relocated to beautiful northeastern Oregon in 2015. Her art studio is located in the beautiful Elk Horn Mountains. Good Morning America!👩🏻‍🎨🇺🇸❤️
I hope everyone has been happy and well! I took almost two months off from Social Media! A Social Media Vacation!
I spent the time visiting friends, working on the last 3 paintings for the show and taking several AI classes! The new AI world is fascinating! I learned many techniques artists can use to enhance all aspects of their business and use AI as a tool in the studio. I am still taking classes on navigating copyright law with AI!
It is a “New” exciting world! All of a sudden cars that can fly, AI can take your ideas to creations you never dreamed, and the art world is becoming more exciting than ever. However, there are massive hiccups I can see with art theft. When I finish the next several copyright classes I will let my art friends know my ideas on how to navigate the new world. Below are three new pieces for holiday that I developed in one of the classes.

Good Morning America! The fall season has definitely arrived in the studio garden! Beautiful skies, 70’s in the afternoon and crisp fall evenings!

It is Thursday September 10th, 2026. The McCully Fire began on August 22, 2026 and as of tonight the fire grew to 13,559.7 acres and is 61 % ++ contained.
I met and chatted with many firefighters heading home tonight while in the Gold Post in Sumpter, Oregon. Tired, withered, dirt on their faces and clothing, however so “ Happy” to be going “Home”! ❤️
However, the most amazing statement each one kept repeating was “Thank-you Jared and Sarah for supplying us with all of our needs”!
I thought to myself shouldn’t they be thanking them and our community should be thanking them! No! They were thanking two people that had just purchased the Gold Post…and they both recognized a massive need!
Our two new citizens stepped up and their staff went way beyond the call of duty. Staying open into the late evenings and getting up before sunset and taking the firefighters personal shopping list into Baker and purchasing what their personal needs before they returned the next day. Day after Day!
I was fortunate to be a witness to all of it! I even helped unload one night…ugh…lots of work!
How rare and how blessed we are to have the firefighters SAVE our community and two of our newest citizens step up and take care of these amazing firefighters from everywhere!
As Venus watched over the fire below something else was happening …humanity, courage, strength and most of all lifetime friendships were created.
I personally nominate Jared and Sarah Ward for the highest citizenship award for Baker County!
Thank you Firefighters locally and all over the Globe! Thank-you Jared and Sarah for making such a positive contribution representing our tiny village of Sumpter!❤️
Please stop into the Gold Post and thank both of them!

Good Morning America!🎃👀😊I was out working in the garden yesterday and I saw a flash of red in my yellow zucchini patch! So I moved the leaves slowly apart and there he stood! So proudly! Mr. Tomato Head! He instantly smiled and waved! How thrilling it was. His tiny hands and his giant nose made him quite the character…but he is proud! He allowed me to take him in a photograph him. He is now back in the garden where he belongs.
Gardens provide a daily changing landscape and when you look really closely a garden can become a wonderful world onto its own!

Happy Saturday Everyone! What a lovely site tonight to see all the tomatoes ripening! It looks like the spaghetti sauce processing will begin soon!

Fire is still on the hill…however cooler temperatures and rain forecasted for the coming week! 😊🙏🏻❤️

Good Evening Everyone! Wow! Today’s fire activity provided a lot of photo taking opportunities! The mid afternoon provided a view of my “Favorite” mountain “Mount Ireland” erupting in flames! At lunchtime I looked out and it simply exploded! The afternoon wore on and eventually the fire met up up with the McCulley Fire creating one amazing site! The firefighters and air tankers did a phenomenal job and by evening they created one fire. By night fall it all went calm.
The eclipse tonight was to low to see …however the stars provided one amazing show against the enormous fire that still rages less than 4 miles from our tiny village of Sumpter! As the crews drove into tonight several of us gathered on the porch of the studio to wave and thank them! I am sure they are exhausted! Thank you all for your prayers and keeping us in your thoughts. Cooler weather will be arriving and maybe life here in the Elkhorn Wilds will return to normal shortly!

Good Morning America! Thank you all for messaging and calling about the fire…as of this morning the report is below. The two photos are from my front porch last night. Friends and I watched tons of firefighters arriving. The fire has now become a “Complex” fire and the new team took over at 0700 this morning. The crews are staying at our fairgrounds and another small camp up Cracker Creek. Cracker Creek is closed to the public. It is very smokey this morning. I have packed the entire 50th Anniversary Show and the paintings are now in a secured location. I don’t want to loose 5 years of work! I have great confidence in the crew and commanders I chatted with yesterday. These folks are pros. Like anything one misstep can create another situation…however at this moment all good!🙏🏻👍👀
