Good morning! I have a glaze combination for you on a bowl this time.
In the past I have focused the dreamy drippy combination on the inside of the bowl. There is definitely less risk that way. But I decided to focus the cool glaze on the outside of these because I intend for them to be soup bowls.
I think, if you intend for a bowl to be purely decorative, it makes sense to put the cool design inside, especially if its a low wide bowl. But if making functional pottery, specifically a soup bowl, you want the inside to be a nice backdrop for the soup, and not for them to compete.
So, I put a simple Amaco Honey Flux x3 coats inside.
Because of the vertical surface outside, I decided to put stable glazes as base and center. So, I used 2x coats of Coyote Cinnamon Stick as the base, alternating brushing direction.
I then placed dots of Coyote Rust Brown at the very top. After that I brushed 2x coats of Honey Flux over the dots and slightly blending into the Cinnamon stick below...and here are the results!
