I don’t share this to toot my own horn—I share it with a genuinely thankful heart. 🤍 Another magazine feature, another reminder that there are people who see, value, and appreciate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
And the timing of this one means even more to me.
Just earlier last week, we received a letter from a former employee who had quit. It was personal, hurtful, and filled with words that, if I had allowed them to sink in, could have been incredibly damaging.
But I’ve learned something: people are allowed to have opinions about you, but they don’t get to have authority over your life.
When I listen to the One who created me, I’m reminded that my identity isn’t determined by someone else’s anger, disappointment, or opinion. I know who I am. I know my heart. I know how hard I’ve worked. And most importantly, I know whose I am.
Then, just days later, I get to open a magazine and see my work appreciated and shared. 🥹 It felt like such a sweet reminder to keep going.
Not everyone will understand you. Not everyone will celebrate you. Some people may even try to convince you that you’re something you know you’re not.
Don’t give their words more authority than God’s truth.
I’m incredibly thankful for another opportunity, another magazine feature, and for every single person who has supported what I’ve built over the years. 🤍
Keep doing the work. Keep your heart grounded. Keep listening to God. One person’s opinion does not get to become your identity.
