Sometimes silhouettes get fancy, and sometimes they don't need to be.

What they always have is the dearest little face in the world to YOU: your child.

Working on forget-not-silhouettes today and thinking a lot about one particular little girl who is especially missed by her family today on her birthday. I'll never forget you, sweet Ellie, nor the beautiful way your family loves you.🤍

Not all the babies we love stay in our arms, and I'm so very thankful to have an arm of this business that gives me a way to pour my heart into helping you keep these little ones always in remembrance.

Sometimes when families are trying to decide what look they want for their portraits, I send them here to look through examples of my work. It can be hard to imagine your child's photo as a silhouette!

I always encourage parents to choose a hair style that reflects their child's day to day personality, as it really plays such a big part in the expression of the portrait. So if your little girl is always in a ponytail, know that they are such a cute option! I've enjoyed cutting lots of ponytails this summer!

I was reminded of these sweet sisters again when I reread their mom's precious review on Etsy today, and I realized I had only shared one of the girls' portraits so far (I have so many unshared photos!🫣).

These two definitely stretched my skills but were some of the most delightful silhouettes that I have cut, and their mom's joy and gratitude was just so humbling and rewarding! My customers truly make this work so worthwhile.🤍

How could I have forgotten to share sweet Sadie with you?! I had looked forward to making this portrait for a long time, and you'll know why when you see how adorable she is!

I love that in this work my customers often begin to feel like friends, and Morgan Boseman is definitely one of these! Thank you for trusting me with capturing your babies, Morgan, and for always cheering me on!

This adorable little gentleman shipped out yesterday as a birthday present to his mama! I'm biased for sure, but I have to agree that his grandma is going to win the prize for the best birthday gift this year...😉

Throwback photo from Father's Day three years ago...

I can't believe how much our little girl has grown since then, but I'm so thankful that her love for her daddy is still the most obvious thing to anyone who sees them together! Few things melt my heart like seeing my two favorite people in the world adoring one another so much.

When I was our daughter's age, I was already praying for my future husband and dreaming about the kind of father he would be, and now I thank God every day for the man that he is. I don't deserve him in the least.

My husband's not on social media, but I'll say it anyway: Happy Father's Day, dear. We love you!!

Sometimes y'all make this job way too fun! How cute are these baseball-themed silhouettes?!

I can just imagine these timeless keepsakes in a little slugger's bedroom!
