I have to tell you about Christine Durrant Art because Christine does something I just LOVE, she takes pre-loved Bibles and hand-paints their covers, giving them a whole new life for the next person who will read and love them.
There is just something about that idea. A Bible continuing its journey, carrying God’s Word into another person’s story...with a beautiful piece of art wrapped around it.
Christine is also a wonderful fine artist who creates these gorgeous, bold florals inspired by God’s creation. I’m so happy she’s bringing her creativity to Artistic Advent this year.
Go peek at her work at and give her some love!

Apparently my desire to have my own murder of crows has now turned into an entire art course. 😂🐦‍⬛
The Crow’s Nest is HERE!
Nine lessons, seven teachers, lots of mixed media and one big idea running through all of it: What happens when we start paying better attention to the treasures hiding in our ordinary lives?
Laundry. Kitchen tables. Mailboxes. Cardboard. Pockets. The things we walk past every day become places to create, remember and notice God right there in the middle of our real lives.
The Crow’s Nest is available now with special New Release Pricing!

Mary. Joseph. Bethlehem. The manger. Shepherds. Angels. Wise men.
We know this story.
But have you ever wondered if knowing it SO well sometimes keeps us from noticing it?
This year I wanted to look beyond simply illustrating the Christmas story and ask different questions. What did participating in God’s plan require of these people? Where do we see belief? Obedience? Humility? Praise? And what does the whole story show us about who GOD is?
That little shift in perspective opened up so much for me, and it became The Character of Christmas.
What part of the Christmas story do you think you tend to rush past because it’s so familiar, I’m curious to hear…

Sixteen guest teachers. Sixteen different voices, styles, and ways of expressing faith through creativity… and every single one of them is bringing something so beautiful to the table. I’m watching these lessons come together inside the Sessions Series and I just keep thinking, you don’t want to miss this. If you’ve been thinking about joining the club, this is such a good time. One of my favorite things about a collaborative course is seeing what happens when you give a group of artists the same big idea and then let them run with it. Different stories, different supplies, completely different styles, and somehow all those roads lead us back to Scripture.
That’s exactly what this group is bringing to Artistic Advent: The Character of Christmas.

and me, !
Which teachers do you already know? And if you spot a new name, go introduce yourself. I think you’re going to love this group.

Let me introduce you to , one of our Artistic Advent teachers this year!
One of the things I appreciate about Caroline is that she understands creativity as more than making something pretty. She sees it as a place to process, reflect and really sit with what God is teaching us, and you KNOW that speaks my language.
She brings together Bible teaching, Biblical soul care and art in such a thoughtful way, and I’m so happy you’ll get to learn from her in The Character of Christmas.
Go give Caroline a follow and tell her you’re coming from Artistic Advent!

I started this project not really knowing how much it would impact me. I thought it would be a creative exercise… but it turned into something so much more. Sitting with each name of God, reflecting on His character, creating as I went, it became such a meaningful rhythm. And now it’s something I go back to again and again. If that sounds like something your heart needs, comment COURSE and I’ll send you the details, or check it out here: https://www.kimpepper.com/NameAboveAllNames
