🏈 This week at Creative Gainz: football and embroidery!

We had a little football theme going in the shop this week.

Team shirts for Ironman Flag Football, along with some Wildcat and Raiders split crewnecks.

And these aren’t imported split crewnecks. We make these right here in the shop.

We start with a regular crewneck, cut it in half, use the serger to put it back together, add a top stitch, then finish it off with embroidery and some glitter HTV.

A little cutting, sewing, embroidery, and sparkle all in one sweatshirt. ✨

The cool part about custom apparel is being able to take a basic piece and turn it into something completely different.

Worked on a few things today, including making single color crew necks into two color crew necks. Embroidery on these still to come.

A few things have been coming through the shop over the past few weeks, along with a pretty exciting new addition, the Chareco 114CH hand-operated chainstitch machine. I will have some videos of that up soon.

I’ve had a few custom shirt requests come through, including an appliqué birthday shirt. Then, on a rainy day, I put the downtime to good use and digitized Georgie before stitching him out.

Of course, the weather decided to make things interesting. A big storm came through the other week and took down some limbs from the tree in our front yard, resulting in 13 holes in the roof and my car being totaled. We also had quite a bit of damage to the backyard fence from trees coming down from the neighbors.

Thankfully, nothing hit the shop, so the important stuff is all good!

The trees are finally cleared out, the cleanup is behind us, and I’m getting back into the swing of things.

Finished up the Illinois High School Rodeo Association State Finals the other week. Group of tees, crewnecks, and hoodies with the State Final design on the front and the names of the finalist on the back. Out in Gordyville tonight doing some live pressing of shirts.
