Kidding (mostly) πŸ˜‰

The truth is nothing on paper becomes a real room without a contractor who actually knows how to build it. We can draft the perfect plan, but they're the ones making walls move and timelines somehow still work out.

Good design only happens when that relationship works. It's not just showing up with a vision, it's knowing how to communicate it, when to push back, and when to trust the person holding the tools.

That's a skill nobody talks about. The projects that turn out best aren't just well designed, they're well run, by people who actually like working with each other.

Here's to the contractors who put up with us.

I'd rather be picking fabric than making another reel.

Design is the fun part.

Documenting it all for the gram so I can meet more incredible clients like you is the part that makes me want to lie on this couch and never get up.

So let's skip a few steps. You already know your space needs help. I already know what to do about it.

Book the consult and let's talk about your house instead of my camera roll.

This is the vision. Soft curves and warm light.

Every material in that palette got picked, held, second guessed, and picked again, and this is what we landed on.

That's the part my clients are actually paying for. Not the pretty picture. The hundred small decisions that make the pretty picture true.

If you've ever stood in a showroom feeling personally victimized by the amount of tile choices to choose from, we see you. That's every day for us.

This project is just getting started. You might want to stick around to watch it come to life.

To the untrained eye, three nearly identical samples.

To us, an entire vibe. The way a room feels day to day. Will we regret this in three years?

is over there laughing at us like he doesn't have the same silent standoffs.
Different studio, same disease.

That's kind of the point though. The stuff that looks like overthinking from the outside is why you hire an interior designer in the first place.

DIY is great until it isn't.

Anyone can pick out furniture they like.

Not everyone can make a vacation rental actually work, look good in every photo, survive back-to-back guests, and still feel like somewhere people want to write 5 star reviews for and book again.

That takes a process. Layout that makes sense for turnover. Fabrics that hold up to strangers using them every week. A design that photographs as well as it lives, because for a rental, the photo is the whole pitch.

That's the part people skip when they DIY it. They get a room that looks fine in person and falls flat online, or books once and never gets the repeat guest.

The investment isn't the furniture. It's someone making sure every choice is working for your bottom line, not just your taste.

Bangs grow back. A rental that doesn't book out doesn't.

Know someone renovating their rental solo? Send them this.

Interior designers never put THIS in the portfolio.

Behind every after photo is 400 tabs open, a vendor who quoted us in April and disappeared, and a server that picked today of all days to stop connecting.

This is the part of the job nobody sees. It's not romantic. It's not aesthetic. It's just... a lot of tabs and a prayer.

And somehow it still turns into a room you never want to leave.

Eleven years in and the chaos never fully goes away. I just manage it better.

Does your actual job look nothing like your Instagram either?

I know we still missed a few.

Every finish, fabric, and fixture in this room got argued over, sourced, and approved before it ever entered the space.

And these decisions are just what made the list. There were more decisions in this room than we could fit on screen.

Now picture making every single one of those calls yourself. On top of your actual job. Your actual life.

Eleven years of doing this and the list never gets shorter. It just gets longer than you think.

That's my job. Not picking pretty things.

Taking the weight of a thousand tiny decisions off your plate so you never have to think about pendant finish again.

Kinda chic to have a designer on speed dial.

Kinda chic to walk into your own living room and go...yeah, this tracks.

Kinda chic to skip the three years of trial-and-error furniture and just get it right the first time.

Kinda chic to let someone who's done this in Boca Raton and Delray Beach for eleven years handle the hard parts while you handle absolutely nothing.

Kinda chic, kinda life-changing. Tomato, tomahto.

Tag the friend who still thinks hiring a designer is extra.

It's not extra. It's kinda chic.

Okay, since you asked. 😊

I'm Wendy Lynn Davis, and for 11 years I've been designing transitional interiors across Boca Raton and Delray Beach that do the thing most "luxury" spaces forget to do: actually feel livable.

Primary homes, vacation homes, condos, full builds, room refreshes, I've done it all, and I still get excited every time.

My process is simple: dream it, design it, live in it.

I handle every detail from the first sketch to the final install so my clients get to skip the stress and just enjoy the reveal.

If your home doesn't feel like you yet, that's kind of my whole job. πŸ‘€

Working on home #4 with Lindsey.

Pre-selections in progress for her latest South Florida project, because when you know, you know.

If you're searching Delray Beach real estate, is who you call.

If you're searching for the person who makes the house feel like home after that, you know where to find me. πŸ‘€
