We do not talk about this one much. But we are proud of it.

Rift Sawn Woodworks was honored to be part of a build for the Gary Sinise Foundation. The R.I.S.E. program builds specially adapted smart homes for our nation’s most severely wounded veterans and their families.

We showed up and did what we do. We brought the wood and the work. The foundation and the people it serves did something that matters a lot more than any piece of furniture we will ever build.

To the veterans and families in these homes, thank you. It was an honor to be a small part of it.

White oak hitting the yard today.

This batch is ultimately heading right back to the farm it came from—milled, dried and turned into tongue & groove for a full-circle project.

The color variation on the ends is sealer being applied to preserve quality before milling.

There’s something right about using your own timber to build something that lasts.

If you’ve got logs and a vision, we can help you bring it to life.
