Hi, remember me?!
It’s definitely been a while and it’s all been to help me figure out my next moves with this amazing business I created! I have taken some time to try and decide what I wanted this business to be moving forward- sales the last year just haven’t been what they were when I started out- prices of wood have gone up but I have never gone up in my pricing- pair that with the awful economy and here we are where I’m basically making only enough money just to buy new wood and not be compensated for all the time and effort each item takes, which unfortunately makes It not worth It In the end. I also got another job which I will now be dividing my time between.
I still love what I do and I can’t completely give up on what I’ve created because when I’m in the zone, it does give me joy (and free therapy!), but with that said it’s time to PIVOT.

What does that mean for KC custom Decor’s future?
This could change in the future, but for the moment I will ONLY be selling in stores and vendor events/craft fairs and i will NOT be taking custom orders for the time being. Whatever you see in 4GoodVibes Gift Shop & Boutique and a few local shops in Dorchester is what I will have for sale at any given time.
I’m happy to take requests of what you’d like to see in those stores for you to shop at, but I cannot currently take specific custom orders.
I hope all my loyal customers and friends can understand this change and appreciate if you would still support me throughout this journey!

With all that said, I may be a little quieter on this page, but will always update restocks and events as time goes on! And always feel free to message me to say hi or shout out requests!

Hello everyone in the KC Custom Decor world,
This may be long, but a very overdue post.

I know I’ve been really quiet since right before the holidays and there has been an unfortunate reason for that which I’ve dreaded speaking out about, but I feel it’s time to fill you all in.
Right before Christmas, we unfortunately lost my dad suddenly and unexpectedly and it tore my world apart.
As some of you know, and if you didn’t know, now you will- my dad taught me everything I needed to know about the behind the scenes of this business. All my items are made from scratch- my dad taught me about what wood to buy, what tools to use and teaching me to cut different ways with different power tools, how to sand down and what grit to use, he was always there to listen to my crazy new ideas and helped be the brain and hands behind executing all those ideas. He has passed down a lot of his power tools and other things that have helped me be successful along the way.
So to say it’s been tough getting back into the swing of things is a major understatement. Every piece of wood, every tool, every past idea reminds me of him and it just hurts right now.
I’m not throwing in the towel, I will keep on with this business I created because I am so proud of myself for bringing this business up from the ground and know he will continue to be proud of me from above, but I just need some time right now- some time to continue processing and figuring out what to do that first time I need his help, ideas, or advice when it comes to KC Custom Decor.

I just want to extended my appreciation for everyone understanding this setback and giving me grace as I navigate what the future of KC Custom Decor brings- I’m not going anywhere, I just need some time, that’s all! ❤️
