The whales have migrated!!
The pod traveled all the way from Boston to Blue Hill, and now they are enjoying their residency at Bagaduce Music ! They are especially enjoying the extensive sheet music library and native plant garden, and they cannot wait to hear all the talented musicians and vocalists practice and perform! Have you been to Bagaduce Music ? If not, you should definitely check out their event schedule… bagaducemusic.org 🎻

Thanks so much to City of Portland (the original one) for starting the Vacant Storefront Art Initiative! If you haven’t heard, it’s a program for owners of vacant storefronts in Portland to feature the work of local artists in their windows. Bringing some color to the downtown!

I was parking on Preble Street, on my way to ArtMart, when I saw my design, “All Connected”… what a treat!

Happy Mother’s Day!! I am so thankful for all the mothers in my life, especially my own:) This was a very special Mother’s Day commission for a friend. I can’t wait to see it hung up on their house! Thank you so much, !!! 💛

Ok, the wait is over…I can finally share a project that is so very near and dear to my heart! Imagine how thrilled this whale-crazy weirdo was when I was asked to create whale art for the Boston Children’s Hospital. The hospital gallery is now filled with life-size juvenile humpback, North Atlantic Right, and minke whales from my illustrations (still blows my mind how big they can print!), different species of New England-migrating whales cut and painted on repurposed wood, beautiful photographs by , and here’s the best part: whale-inspired artwork created by children patients at the hospital. 💛

Thank you so very much to for inviting me into this project. My heart is full.

If you have reason to visit Boston Children’s Hospital, I hope this exhibit brings you some joy… and make sure to grab a couple of the coloring sheets! 😉
