The JKS team is back from High Point Market 2026 feeling inspired ✨

Each year, we return to HPMKT to discover what’s new, what’s enduring, and what continues to shape the way we design. It’s not just about sourcing, it’s about refining our perspective. Noticing what we’re drawn to, listening to fellow creatives, and gaining clarity in how we work and why.

What always stands out most? The individuality. Every designer brings something entirely their own, and that’s exactly what makes this industry so dynamic.

We’re back in Boston energized, with incredible new pieces and ideas we can’t wait to bring into upcoming projects.

The Vermont Pantry is our newest muse for the JKS Edit.
And somehow… there are still corners of this home you haven’t seen.

After our initial walkthrough with the clients and builder, we revisited the kitchen layout with hosting in mind. A subtle shift - relocating the pocket door just slightly - allowed the space to become far more intentional: a pantry with generous storage, a wet bar, and a framed view of the mountains.

A space designed not just for storage, but for flow, and for the art of entertaining.

The JKS team will be traveling to Woodstock, Quechee, and Stowe throughout the summer. If you have a Vermont project in mind, we’d love to connect.

The materials we come back to, time and time again. ✨

There’s something about a space that’s been thoughtfully finished, where you notice the weight of a door handle, the way light catches a countertop, the imperfect beauty of a handmade tile. Those details are quiet, but they’re everything.

The right materials don’t just finish a space. They make it feel like yours.

Where you see a hallway, we see connection.

Not just a corridor, but a connection between spaces, between moments, and between the way a home is lived. What began as two separate condos is now one continuous home - designed with intention.

It started with a daily friction point.

A walkway that connected the driveway, garage, and mudroom to the home’s entry, but in a Vermont winter, it asked too much. Too exposed, too far, not built for real life.

We enclosed the walkway, transforming it into a window-lined corridor. Preserving the original bluestone and structure, we introduced custom windows to flood the space with light and frame the landscape beyond.

Inside, we kept the layering minimal—flush-mount lighting, a custom runner, and a simple upholstered bench—allowing the materials and views to lead.

What was once a pass-through is now a moment of arrival.

Now accepting new clients for full home renovations—near and far.

A few moments, here and there, with the JKS team.

From our daily fit check, design presentation prep, rainy-day site visits, and check-ins to see what we’re all working on, this is what makes the world go round for us. Curious about a day in the life of an interior designer? Coming right up 😉

This holiday season, I’m focusing on what feels grounding and inspiring.

I’m exploring new sources of creativity, protecting my energy by saying yes only to what lights me up, and soaking in family time! Skiing, puzzles, and one-on-one moments in Vermont. I’m prioritizing wellness with mindful movement, short meditations, and getting my appointments on the books. Self-care is becoming a daily habit: taking my makeup off as soon as I get home, staying consistent with my red-light mask, and booking a solo spa day to plan for the year ahead. I’m embracing slower mornings and evenings, waking up with intention and winding down with a book. And I’m challenging myself to try something new, maybe knitting in the ski lodge, maybe learning moguls. This season is about clarity, creativity, and feeling my best.

What is one of your goals this season?
